Character History: Phoenix, is a true living legend of puroresu. He began his career wrestling in Japan, but his friend Jushin Lyger thought it would be a good idea for him to become a mysterious masked wrestler, like himself. He decided he would become Phoenix, a mysterious masked man, that seemed intent on winning his matches, with almost no regard for his own safety. He debuted the Phoenix gimmick in Japan in the Super J Cup 1994 tournament, where he lost in the first round against his good friend, Jushin Lyger.

Phoenix is quite a good wrestler, his style is a good combination of flying, power, and some technique as well. He has participated in many deathmatches, during his FMW days, and has the scars to prove it. One of the most memorable deathmatches he was in, was against Atsushi Onita at Onita's "retirement show", it was an Exploding Barbed Wire Time Bomb Cage deathmatch, in a "time bomb" match, the ring is set to explode after a certain amount of time, in this match it was 15 minutes. Phoenix tried a moonsault off the top, but Onita moved, and he tasted the cold,hard canvas. They had a rematch at a later date, where Phoenix got the win with that same moonsault off the cage. Now searching for new opponents and goals to reach, Pheonix has arrived at CCW. Let the pain begin...
