The Board was quiet. Not even Chane, who is usually hard pressed to shut his mouth up had anything to say.... the view then turns to Reverend Jones but before he could say anything- Alexander Arcane rose his right hand up and grinned sarcastically at The Sage...
Alexander Arcane: Well said. Really it is. I can see you have tremendous respect for the origin of this sport and for it's future but [folds his fingers together and leans forward] .... but .... what gives you the idea that we need to even HAVE an equal playing field....
[Chane interrupts]
Chane McMahon: I concur! There IS an equal playing field! Why we signed the likes of Branden Harvey!
Reverend Jones then interrupts Chane!
Reverend Jones: Awh hum.... Branden Harvey was not only the ONLY Human signed but he was also the only one signed in roughly 4 years... [shoots a cold stare at Alex]....
[Continues]
Alexander Arcane: If you're implying it is intentional that we only sign Creatures.... Think again. We're here to consider Sage aren't we?? Last time I checked, I was the founder of this sport and I know what I am doing! CW has dominated the air ways and we hold the only Undisputed title that is legitament in this sport... The Absolute Undisputed Championship.... this is a fact! Every single legend in this sport... from Darkhag, Raven, Doc Death, Darkspade, Charon Death, Gojinn, Red Spyder, Kefka!! and Dalkiel JUST TO NAME A FEW were Creature Wrestlers and held on to that title!!! WE ARE the sport!
Suddenly, with a calm hand Sage raised his own... and what he was about to say silenced the great Alexander Arcane....
Sage: ALL of those legends were CREATURES... but name 1 that was a Human being. JUST one.
Alexander leaned back and thought about it....
Alexander Arcane: .... why Branden Harvey!
Sage grins
Sage: Whom you traded away. You see what is wrong here? Those legends are in the past... and the future is NOW! Fans who purchase your tickets want to see variety and a level playing field.... if you keep down the same path and hiring Creatures you not only cut off an audience but you also water down your talent. I emplore you to deeply consider my proposal and you can start by signing my contract.
Everyone in the room now turned their eyes to Richard Arcane who was silent throughout the entire time. The CW President was the only one in that room who could make this happen.... and before him were Sage's contract papers.... Richard briefly looked at Alexander, who was quiet, and then back at Sage....
Richard Arcane: Sage. We'll give you a chance to help lead the CW into the future. Consider yourself a part of the greatest federation on the face of the planet, Creature Wrestling [Richard was about to sign but Alex placed his hand on the paper and in Richard's way]
Alexander Arcane: Brother. You have the right to decide but consider MY propsal. If Sage thinks that signing more human wrestlers into CW because they are 'equal' then for his first PPV match I want him to face the Lord of Blood himself... Kizmat for the Absolute Undisputed Title on Inferno Crisis.
::An unprecendented and shocking move- which even made Sage scratch his head::
Chane McMahon: But woah... waiiiiit a minute! A title shot of that magnitude takes months of hard work... you think that's fair?
::Alexander smiles at Chane and then to Sage::
Alexander Arcane: I admit it is quite sudden... but before he is to face Kizmat.... Sage will fight a creature of my choosing on a special NSA Friday Night match... if Sage looses... he will lose his contendership AND contract to wrestler here. So what do you say Sage? Care to take a gamble?
