Deadblood (Absolute & Mortal Champion)
The announcement that everyone's been waiting for.

When Deadblood's music hit, the crowd reacted mostly with cheers, those cheers getting louder when he actually stepped out onto the stage, the Absolute championship over one shoulder and the Mortal championship over the other. With him was Sheri Stull, carrying the briefcase containing the open contract that they'd been given.
They were both dressed nicely, Deadblood in a suit and tie and Sheri in a dress. When they reached the bottom of the ramp, Sheri was the first to climb the steps onto the ring apron and he followed her. And then they just stood there, Deadblood staring at Sheri. After a moment of staring, he proceeded to nod at her, which brought a puzzled look across her face.
"Sheri, the rope," he said to her, the crowd's cheering and his entrance music masking his words from anyone else hearing, "hold it open for me!"
"Uh, what the fuck do I look like to you? Your butler?" she asked in return. "You hold it open!"
Not about to get into an argument with her there in front of everyone, Deadblood went ahead and held open the rope, allowing Sheri to step into the ring before stepping in himself. Raising his titles high into the air for all to see, he then grabbed a mic from ringside and waited for his entrance music to come to a stop before speaking.
"The last time I met with Mr. Arcane, he gave me the briefcase Sheri is holding, which as you all know, contains a contract for my next opponent, along with the deadline of ten days to announce who that opponent is, which would be today.
"But before that announcement is made, I have a few things to say. It seems like ever since I won my match at Creaturemania XI, people have said things like, Deadblood didn't win cleanly and Deadblood wouldn't have won if Sheri wasn't at ringside. And to that, I say, I won these titles because of one thing and one thing only: I am better than Kizmat! No matter what kind of match it had been and no matter who else was present, I would have won!"
These comments got some boos out of the crowd, but Deadblood was undeterred, pausing only for a couple seconds and then continuing with, "I've also heard what the Uninteresting One was running his mouth about. How I'm going to cower at him and how he thinks he deserves to be the Absolute champion! But you see, Darkspade, I cower at no one and nothing, especially someone who hasn't done a thing to prove that they should hold the Absolute title instead of me! Someone who is just a washed-up windbag!"
This got more boos out of the crowd and Deadblood paused for a bit a longer this time, looking around at the crowd, smirking, before saying, "Enough of Darkspade's lack of accomplishments though. It's time to present this contract to my next opponent, because I believe that even those on the bottom of the food chain discover a title shot if they want it!"
Before Deadblood could finish his thought though, Sheri grabbed a mic of her own and cut Deadblood off with, "Wait just a minute there, Deadblood! I'm the one who's supposed to give this contract to your next opponent!"
Deadblood just stared at Sheri again, he and the crowd waiting for her to make the announcement.
"So," she then began, "Darkspade, the contract in this briefcase is yours, if you're man enough to actually back up your words and face Deadblood in a title match!"
The crowd cheered at the announcement, beginning to chant even as they waited for the Unholy One to come open the briefcase and claim the contract as his.
