Loose Ends.

A cold dripping sound can be heard all around. It’s somewhat faint, but it’s there. The water splashes against itself, meaning a puddle has formed. A creaking is also heard somewhat, in random locations far off from here.

A man lies alone, cold and in pain. He can’t see anything right now, and he can barely mumble. The last thing he could remember was driving to the store for more aspirin. He parked in the far end of the lot, taking a few spots up, so as not to have the nice vehicle scratched or dented. He had stepped out, and then he remembered nothing. He opens his eyes, but there’s still only darkness, and a flickering every so often. He’s blindfolded, and as he moves to remove the blindfold, he realizes he’s bound as well. In a panic, he begins struggling, but cannot get free. He swings his legs, which he finds unbound, and feels around, seeing he’s on some sort of bed, and places his feet onto the floor, which appears to be wood from the sound.

Worried, he drops to his knees, and places his face on the mattress, rubbing the blindfold off, which burns his face, but effectively gives him use of his eyes. He suddenly turns and gags, seeing the dirt and blood caked all over the mattress he rubbed his face in. Dropping back, and crawls across the room, and then turns, seeing a new LCD TV plugged in, tipped against the wall, with a VCR attached at the side. A tape sticking out of the video recorder is labeled “Play Me”. Worried, yet curious, he pushes the tape in with his knee, and watches as the TV flickers to life, and the tape auto-plays. He crawls back, spitting to the floor, having a disgusting taste in his mouth. The tape plays only static…for a few moments…

I know… you’re probably wondering… “How did he find me?”. Well, it turns out my connections on the “guns for hire” market haven’t all turned against me yet. In fact, all of them are still friendly with me. They went right to work and gave me everything on you, and now here you are, my play thing.

He struggles.

Well, as you are watching this, a few things are obvious. We’re not in Kansas anymore. We’re not…anywhere really. We’re in the middle of nowhere, in a run down house, that’s fairly large. It’s been rigged with traps and fun everywhere!! I wanted you to experience it all, so I’ve also restrained you a bit. Hope the straight jacket isn’t TOO tight. After all, then you wouldn’t be able to have as much fun.

He stands, and begins looking around. He’s trapped in this room. No door handles or windows in sight. He rams a door, but it barely moves, and he drops back, slightly winded from the attempt.

Do be careful of the doors. They’re heavy, and I’ll let you out when I’m done. Promise. For now, listen. The moment I open that door, you have two minutes exactly. Those are free. You’ll be allowed to try to get free of that jacket and escape the house. However, if you can’t, all bets are off, and I’m coming head hunting.

“WHAT DO YOU WANT?!?!”

I’ll let you go if you escape the house at anytime, but I will not stop hunting you. You see, you did something you never should have.

Gojinn approaches the camera, getting up close, as he draws a hood over his head.

You tried to kill a killer, Vince. A King, no less. Regicide is something I do not tolerate, and now Vince, your judgment has been decided. Your death or mine, and Vince, I’m not going to die. So, now I’ve talked to you long enough. You have two minutes… Welcome to the funhouse.

The door cracks open, and Vince looks at it, as Gojinn remains on screen.

Oh and Vince? Don’t let me down. I want to have a blast!!!

PLAY!!!!

Violent Vince is captive, and already panicking, but trying his best to keep his cool, he flees the room, ramming his shoulder into the door that has opened somewhat. It flies open, and he stumbled into a slender hallway, carefully making his way down, armed with the knowledge the house has booby traps everywhere. Unsure of what to do, he just struts along, and peeks behind doors into empty rooms. He knows he’s been given “two minutes”, but he doesn’t trust Gojinn. He did try to kill the man, so the anger and hate for him was probably high enough to kill him from behind. Then again, he had dragged Vince all the way out here. He had bigger plans than a quick kill, that much was certain..

Gojinn waited patiently as Vince crept through the old home, desperately trying to avoid traps that seemed obvious. A cocky grin spread over Vince’s face when he noticed the thin fishing wire that would trip the steel chandelier above to fall down and stab him to death. Stepping over the wire, he turned to look back down at it, but his victory was short lived, as he’d tripped a pressure pad when he stepped over. The floor gave way, and he dropped down, down, down into the basement, landing hard against the cement floor. What little light he had…was enough to terrify him. Pendulums were swinging back and forth. The light glistened off the blades as they swung back and forth, showing him an entire hall of death. There was space between each pendulum, but he couldn’t be sure if those spaces were booby trapped either. However, there was a ladder to exit this basement between each pendulum. He just needed to get out of the jacket first. He climbed to his feet, nearly falling forward into the path of the swinging blade. As it came back, he kicked at the pole, but it did nothing to stop or slow it down. In fact, Vince was actually thrown back into the brick wall just before the pendulum.

In any case, he needed to figure out an escape plan now, and suddenly one dawned on him. The straight jacket is just fabric! He waited for the pendulum to swing back, and leaned in slightly, allowing the pendulum to graze the jacket, tearing the fabric, and unfortunately cutting his arm as well. He screamed in pain and fell back, flailing his arms to rip the rest of it. Finally, he freed one arm and then the other, tearing the jacket off of himself in a fury. And that’s when the pendulums stopped, and swung to either side, clearing the hallway completely. Down the hall, he saw something in the darkness…

Gojinn had found him, and an ominous laughter rings out down the hallway, as he springs up the ladder. He slams against the ceiling, breaking the floorboards, and pushes up through the hole, as Gojinn closes in. Vince pushes the boards back down, and then slams a nearby bookcase over it, trapping him!

“YES! Now who’s so damn smart?! HUH?!?”

Vince turns and rushes through the first door he sees, only, he’s grabbed the handle, and gets a shock!!! He screams, as the door flies open, and he drops to his knees!! He clutches his chest, and tries to catch his breath, and tries to move and run, but is seriously hurt. The handle had been hooked up to some power source, electrifying him. He punches the floor, still clutching at his chest to make sure his heart hasn’t stopped, and that he can breath, and once everything seems nearly normal, he jumps to his feet and rushes down the hall, not caring to stop for potential traps. Suddenly everything stops… as a terrifying noise behind him prompts his attention…

A psychotic grin breaks out over Gojinns face, as he holds up the chainsaw, revving the engine several times for Vincent. He takes one hand off, and pulls down a hockey mask over his face, making the blood soaked apron that much more noticeable, and frightening. Gojinn rushes after Vince, who ducks into the nearest room, and smashes the nearest objects against the door, desperate to stop his attacker. He rushes to the window, but it’s nailed shut, so in a fury, he smashes it with his fist, destroying the glass. It rains down outside of the window, and he rips his hand back, tearing a chunk of broken glass from his hand, before taking a look. A bed of nails lies outside, making it impossible to escape that way. Suddenly he hears a terrible laughter echo outside of the room, and the chainsaw begins ripping at the door.

I LOVE HIDE AND SEEK!!!!

Gojinn slams the blade hard into the door, digging into the wood with a psychotic laugh. Chunks of wood give way, and with all his might he swings the chainsaw against the door, and this time the blade tears through like butter. He begins sawing downward and across, but the saw is continuously caught on several objects. He pulls the chainsaw out and kicks a portion of the door out, sticking his face into the room. There’s no one around!!!

Curious, he revs the saw again, hoping to scare him, but when nothing moves, he simply reaches into the room, and begins shoving things over, just enough to slam against the door, and push his way in. Finally, he enters and looks around for a hiding spot, when he notices that Vince had busted the wall down with a lamp!! He cracked a huge hole in the wall and ran through!! Gojinn hears the door to the next room fly open, and he rushes the gap in the wall, dragging the saw down the hole, widening it.

No wonder Red loves this thing!!! It’s so much fun!!!

Gojinn rushes after him, punching wooden supports to pieces as he cuts through to the next room. Splinters and sawdust cover him now, not to mention blood from his cut, but Vince is alive and still escaping. He comes to a fork in the hallway, with two signs. One reads “Exit”. The other reads “Not the Exit”. Clearly a childish trap, Vince runs down the hall that reads “Not the Exit”, and begins throwing doors open to new rooms. He hears the chainsaw not far behind, and ignores the rooms now. He instead makes a b-line for the end of the hall, rounding the corner towards what he hopes is an escape route!

However, when he rounds the corner, he sees a giant brick wall. Painted in white are the words, “Not an exit”. Vince actually stares now, in disbelief. He was sure this was the way out. He turns and makes a mad dash for the fork, hoping to make it. The walls have windows every so often, all boarded up and laced with small strips of barbed wire. He knows Gojinn has rigged something outside of the windows for sure, or at least one big death trap outside of the windows entirely. He refuses to test it, and doesn’t have to, because Gojinn has reached the fork with the chainsaw, and started running down the “Exit” path, hoping to catch Vince!

Knowing this is his only shot, Vince runs back the way he came upon the fork, hoping Gojinn wouldn’t turn around and head back for him. Thinking he’s escaped, he makes a mad dash and throws the door open, flying through a few different rooms. He passes beds covered in blood and gore, dried and decaying sometimes. Walls are splattered by blood, some dried and cracking, some still fresh. Needles line random places, as well as condoms, beer bottles and cans, and empty bags. Obviously this place was in the middle of nowhere as Gojinn had said. It seemed to be a favorite place of hookers and drug users.

He had no way out!!! Everywhere he turned, windows were boarded up. Lights were blown out all over, leaving the house dark and eerie. He could barely see anything! How COULD he escape?!?!

And then he realized the point of this “fun house”. He wasn’t meant to escape at all.

Gojinn’s chainsaw revved, and he heard it ripping through wood.

If Vince wasn’t going to escape on foot fast, he’d kill Gojinn, and take his time leaving! Gritting his teeth, he wiped the sweat from his forehead, and kicked a hole in the rotted drywall. He looked inside, and then tore it apart, delivering a vicious spin kick to the stud, snapping the heavy 2x4 in half. He yanked the chunk out, and turned towards the direction of the fork. He knew Gojinn had to have heard the ruckus he was making. And suddenly the chainsaw was alive again, and Gojinn was on the move. Vince turned and ran, suddenly scared, knowing he couldn’t fight with wood without jumping Gojinn from behind.

MARCO!!!!!

Gojinn screamed through the house loud, mocking Violent Vince. He knew Vince was somewhere nearby, and probably looking for a way to fight back. Grinning, he stopped and revved the saw…

Vince froze, hearing the noise that was shaking the house now. Loud crashes could be heard, and all too suddenly a madman wielding a chainsaw came barreling from the wall just a few feet above Vince!!! Gojinn had used a staircase, and was plunging the saw down at Vince, aiming to drive it through his face!!! Vince moved slightly, and Gojinn missed with the saw, but slammed into him, and landed on his feet, driving him into the wall!! Vince dove to the side as he raised the chainsaw and swung for his face, and then swung down at him again!!

Vince moves sideways, and right hooks Gojinn! He loses the chainsaw to the floor, and Vince quickly grabs his head, pulling it down against his knee and he brings it upward, smashing them intensely. Gojinn Is knocked loopy, and Vince spin kicks him to the floor now, grabbing his 2x4 to fight. Gojinn crawls away, as Vince raises it.

“Polo! BITCH!”

Screaming, he brought it down, shattering it over Gojinn’s spine viciously. Gojinn dropped, and seeing that his weapon was destroyed, he threw it at Gojinn’s skull, turning and walking away. He turned, and heard a gentle hum…

He grabbed the chainsaw and started it, looking at Gojinn!!!! He took two steps towards him, raised it, and brought the saw down, looking to behead Gojinn!!! It stopped just an inch from his throat!!!

Well… this was fun!

Grinning, Gojinn blew lightly on the saw as it spun wildly, and Vince pushed downwards at his neck! Gojinn was using his telekinesis now, laughing as the saw blade was pushed back by his “breathing”. Vince kept looking between the blade and Gojinn, shocked! He couldn’t understand it! Gojinn started to stand, and Vince tossed the saw away, kicking Gojinn now. He hunched over, and as Vince swung his elbow for Gojinns temple, Gojinn blocked the shot with the outside of his arm, and drove his palm into Vince’s chest, quickly hitting an uppercut, and a spinning back punch.

You’re never gonna escape!!!

Vince turned and ran again, stumbling around now, weak from the fight. He huffed and cried, desperate to get away, when he saw a metal rod jutting from the ceiling downward at a metal floor….stretching the length of the hallway. Not thinking, he rushed across, and Gojinn stopped several feet before, watching him go. There was nothing he could do, when the rod shot several volts of electricity downward to the floor, electrifying Vince. The man dropped to his face, stunned. Gojinn wanted to kill him with his own hands, but this trap would suffice.

The floor opened slowly, and a motionless Vince could only watch helplessly, as he was dropped into the darkness, onto a bed of razor sharp, three foot spikes. A loud puncture sound, and a gurgle were all that Gojinn heard as the floor slowly closed back up.

Welcome to the funhouse…

Gojinn had killed Vince as he had planned. Now with him out of the way, he could concentrate on Creed. That bastard had called his goons on Gojinn, and if they were lucky, he’d let them die faster than Vince did, if they got in his way….
