Branden Harvey
Backstage After Inferno
[The scene opens in Branden Harvey's locker room. It cuts to Branden Harvey. Branden Harvey is sitting in a chair with his bag next to him. His body is covered with dry blood. He is tired from his Championship match and it shows.]
Harvey: There I go. I have lost. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't beat Mortismere tonight. Should I give up? I can't give up on my dream.
I'm not sure I can win. Will I be known as the man that never wins the big one? The next Owen Hart? The man that never wins the CW Undisputed Championship? Will people laugh at me?
I do, however, have hope. One battle is not a war. Don't get me worng. I respect Mortismere. He is the Undisputed Champion for a reason.
But I see this war as tied. I have been training. Not only in the gym, but I've also been running homemade obstacle courses. Lord Mortismere beat me tonight. I won't let that happen again.
I have a dream. I dream of being the Undisputed Champion. The score is 1-1. Losing to Lord Mortismere is not the end of the world. I need to pick myself up and begin training for match number three.
I have another glimmer of hope in the fact that I don't believe my loss was my fault. I believe it was Chane McMahon's. I had the match under control. He interfered and locked himself in the cage. The whole run around where we had to get back in the cage is what cost me the match.
Mortismere, I know you're not better than me. I proved that the last time we competed against each other. I'm a great wrestler. And I have one thing you don't. I have the heart and desire to win.
I know I don't scare you. That's okay. I don't need to. You're overconfident. And your overconfidence will be your downfall.
I refuse to believe that I can't win. I refuse to believe that CW isn't for me. I lost one match. A loss that wasn't even my fault. I will beat you if I have to kill you to do it.
Who am I kidding? I can't beat you. You've already proven you can beat me. That's what I've been hearing from Chane. But he forgets that I've already beaten you once.
I know what people say. Heart and desire don't win matches. Not without talent. But I have talent. I have the talent to beat you.
[Branden Harvey gets up. He gathers his things. He walks out of the building. The scene fades to black.]
