Files from "The Initiatve"
Serial Numbers
The following documents have been taken from the files on Alvar Creed's "Initiative" project from 2008-2009. All information is strictly confidential.
Hacksaw Harry
Real name: Harold Raymond
Status: Deceased
Dossier: Raymond was a serial killer responsible for a series of grisly murders throughout the state of Idaho. His weapon of choice was a very large knife which he systematically used to gut his victims like fish, before he chopped off their heads which he kept for himself. Raymond was eventually apprehended and was used as one of the earliest participants in Alvar Creed’s “Initiative” to electronically use serial killers as special detectives to track down other murderers. Due to the skill he exhibited in his murder, Raymond was chosen as a member of an elite task force of these special detectives codenamed “The Serial Squad”. On a mission to eliminate high profile killer “Red Spyder” aka “The Chainsaw Killer” Raymond engaged the target. After a brief skirmish, Raymond was then decapitated by his own knife at the hands of Spyder. His head was never recovered, assumed to be floating in the ocean.
Nailhead Ned
Real name: Ned Felton
Status: Deceased
Dossier: Felton was a former construction worker who received a shot from a nail gun to his skull during a tragic accident at his site. It was reported thereafter that Felton never acted the same, and his mental sanity slowly declined overtime. This severe shift in personality led to Felton placing multiple nails in his skull therefore giving him his moniker “Nailhead Ned”. After this act, Felton completely disconnected himself from his former lift and went on a vicious rampage through the area of Boston, Massachusetts. Felton was eventually apprehended when the nails protruding from the hood he was wearing was sighted by a civilian, giving the police the necessary edge in tracking him down. Felton was then recruited to the Serial Squad after being declared legally insane, due to the usefulness of a distorted view on the world in deciphering the thought patterns of a serial killer. Was also involved in the capture of Red Spyder, but was killed when Red used a hammer to further lodge one of Felton’s nails so deep in his brain to incapacitate him permanently.
Crossbow Clyde
Real name: Clyde Duval
Status: Deceased
Dossier: Duval was a veteran from the Vietnam War who was engaged primarily in undercover spy missions. After an incident where enemy soldiers were closing in on his position, Duval was forced to fend for himself alone in the jungles for two entire weeks. Once the army discovered and rescued Duval, he was completely disengaged with reality, and shot one of the soldiers believing them to be a Vietcong. Despite their best efforts to assimilate Duval back into his unit, he remained extremely unstable and aggressive, eventually leading to a dishonorable discharge from the army. When he returned to the states he found it increasingly difficult to find a job as a result of his discharge and further erratic behavior. This proved to further exacerbate Duval’s mental instability as he gave up trying to establish any semblance of a normal life and took up wandering. This led to a high profile string of murders along the West Coast in which Duval killed many innocent bystanders, usually by arrow. The police caught a break after bringing in Duval after an officer found him on the side of the road engaging in a panic attack. Once he was at the station they were able to connect him to the West coast murders, officially ending his reign of terror. When questioned as to why he did it, Duval claimed that everyone was “the enemy” and it was “either them or me”. Duval was then found legally insane and was committed to an asylum for a number of years, before being selected as a member of The Serial Squad. His experience as a war veteran was vital in tracking down and deciphering the patterns of serial killers. On the mission to capture Red Spyder, Duval attempted to overcome the killer by drawing him into a dimly lit room. Within the room, Duval attempted to get the jump on Red Spyder with his signature Crossbow, but was not able to finish the job and was eventually murdered by Spyder after his heart was impaled by a throwing knife.
Pyro Pete
Real name: Peter Salamis
Status: Catatonic
Dossier: Salamis was the victim of a very abusive childhood, which was probably the catalyst for his destructive tendencies. At the age of 14, Salamis witnessed his house burn down killing his extremely abusive parents which he would later describe as “the happiest day of my life”. Salamis was then sent to an orphanage where he tended to be overly aggressive, and at times manically excited. Once he became 18, he left the orphanage and pursued a career as a fireman. He maintained this job for 4 years, before his fellow firemen kept reporting many complaints about Salamis. It appeared as if he was very hesitant to extinguish the fires he was sent on, and over time just seemed to grow more and more disturbed. The final straw happened when his own department was sent on a call to put out a fire that Salamis started. Salamis was able to evade capture for his arson, and went on an infamous rampage that terrorized the citizens of Washington State. Armed with a makeshift flamethrower, and various explosives, Salamis razed a multitude of buildings and burned a plethora of victims alive. Eventually, the police were able to close in on Salamis, resulting in a violent firefight and Salamis’s capture. He was sentenced to a life in prison, but was given an out by the initiative. He was then assigned to The Serial Squad, as more of an enforcer than a detective. His willingness to seemingly put himself in any sort of danger, and baffling resistance to pain was seen as advantageous in apprehending dangerous criminals. On the mission to capture Red Spyder, Salamis came face to face with the killer and attempted to burn him alive with a flamethrower. During the confrontation, Salamis planted an explosive in a last ditch effort to kill Red Spyder. The killer was able to escape from the building in time before the explosion caused it to collapse with Salamis still in it. Shockingly Salamis survived the incident, but his body was completely charred from head to toe. Since then Salamis has been in a deep coma and has shown no signs of improvement. He is still on life support.
Autocide Al
Real name: Albert Miller
Status: Incarcerated
Dossier: Miller received a small amount of notoriety while serving as a driver on the indie racecar circuit. As a driver Miller was often described as “reckless” and “irresponsible” which led to him being the cause of 4 crashes during his tenure. This also caused his racing license to be revoked, to which Miller responded by threatening the committee responsible for it with death. Six days later a member of the board, Hank O’Neal, was run over by Miller’s brown sedan on the way to his car. This was the start of Miller’s career as a murderer, as he drove around cities scouting out innocent bystanders to run over and kill. After a series of hit and run murders, Miller’s actions became a very large concern as the papers began referring to him as “The Autocide Killer”. Miller got away with his crimes for quite some time, before one of his tires blew out before he could escape from the scene of his latest crime. The police apprehended Miller and he was sentenced to life, but was able to escape his fate by becoming a member of The Serial Squad. Due to his driving prowess and experience, Miller joined the Squad as its designated driver. During the mission to captured Red Spyder, Miller tried eliminating the Chainsaw Killer by running him over with the Squad’s van. Spyder was able to avoid a fatal collision, however, and was successful in evading the van at the right time causing Miller to crash through a concrete wall. Miller survived the crash, albeit in critical condition. After the Initiative was officially declared a failure, Miller was returned to prison to continue to serve his life sentence. He remains in prison currently, often in solitary confinement.
Omar the Operator
Real name: Lawrence Claythorne
Status: Incarcerated
Dossier: Described as a “brilliant individual”, Claythorne was accepted into medical school in college. After a year in the program, Clayhorne dropped out, citing the current medical practices and idea to be “Too boring”. At this point in time, Claythorne’s mental state seemed to deteriorate as he “changed” his name to “Omar” and would not acknowledge any of his past existing. It was at this time that Claythorne became an avid collector of vinyl records, and opened up his own store. For many years Claythorne seemed to live a fairly normal and innocent life while working at his store, but unbeknownst to the authorities, he was responsible for a gruesome string of murders throughout the state of Maine. He cited his desire to “experiment” and “discover more exciting methods in the medical field” as the main reasons behind his murders. His victims were often found dissected, or mutilated, while a record was being played in the background (Strangely, Clayhthorne held a strong infatuation with music from the 1970’s). Clayhthorne had the police stumped for years until he foolishly left one of his victims alive after he was finished with them. After months of recuperation, the victim was able to identify Claythorne. Enraged by his own oversight, Clayhthorne attempted killing the authorities surrounding his house, but was unsuccessful and sentenced to death. Claythorne, however, caught a break in being the first killer selected as a member of “The Serial Squad”. Due to his extreme intelligence and his close to perfect string of crimes, Claythorne was chosen to be the leader of the Squad. As the leader, Claythorne coordinated all missions for the Squad, and headed the mission to captured Red Spyder. After seeing each member of his team eliminated by the Chainsaw Killer, Claythorne opted not to confront him, and live to fight another day. Soon after the Initiative was declared a failure and Claythorne was returned to prison to fulfill his sentence. His execution is currently pending.
November 2009,
The Initiative is declared an official failure. All devices used to control the Killers are outlawed, and they are all returned their prisons or mental hospitals.
