I, Creeper

I can’t live forever; I know it’s impossible…

I still have time, but it’s not enough. The world can’t be deprived of genius…

If only there was a way to preserve my mind, without my body…

I am the Dr. Isaac Rasputin…

And I will achieve everything I deserve…

___________________________________________________________________

*Dr. Isaac Rasputin was sitting in his dimly lit workshop. He was sitting at a table writing vigorously in his journal, very excitedly. The Doctor brushed his finger across an odd looking scar across his head. It did not resemble a typical scar, however…rather than something that looked like the result of a blade it seemed…imprinted there.

He closed his journal and stood up, turning his head to the large chair seated at the end of the room. A colossal body sat in the chair, it’s head slumped down, as Rasputin slowly walked toward it. The body seemed dead, but its chest was clearly breathing heavily. It’s entire being was basically filled in with the same strange scars Rasputin dawned however. With a close examination of the body’s face, comparisons to the doctor himself could be made. On top of all of this the being was hooked up to a variety of rudimentary machines. Their screws and gears creaking and turning slowly.

Rasputin pulled a lever on one of the machines, causing what seemed to be machines under the skin of the body to start moving. Slowly but surely, the machines began to distort the monster’s skin, removing the eerie scars, but causing it to breath quicker and more powerfully. The Doctor then bends looks straight at the body’s dormant face, and grins from ear to ear.*

Rasputin: A worthy successor if I’ve ever seen one…

*The hulking Creeper rests on the large chair in Rasputin’s workshop, which he has grown accustomed to sitting in. His mind is extremely primitive, and completely obeys the orders of Rasputin. The Doctor is noticeable frustrated by the extent of Creeper’s cognitive abilities.*

Rasputin: I don’t understand….your whole being it’s just…too primal. Too raw.

*The Creeper stares blankly at Rasputin*

Rasputin: Nothing seems to stimulate your brain! I’m trying to appeal to your basic desires, but it is to no avail…you can’t even speak! What do I need to do? What could possibly make sense to you?

*At that moment a rat scurries into the workshop. It zips past Rasputin who fails to kick it, but it is literally crushed by The Creeper who picks up his enormous foot and collapses it down on the rodent. The blood of the animal pops onto Rasputin’s leg, who is noticeably annoyed. That is until he sees the Creeper begin to laugh at the rat’s corpse. His first sign of speech.*

Rasputin: …Violence. It’s violence that stimulates you? Hmm…I did not expect your primitive desires to be so extreme. Especially that one…

But it is of no matter, this makes things much easier to work with. Tomorrow night I’ll accompany you on a visit to the village. You’re appetite needs to satiated in order for you to -progress.

Inferno Crisis 2006

The Creeper is a relatively new entrant to the world of Creature Wrestling. Rasputin had him join the CW as a way of satiating The Creeper’s appetite for violence. After only a short time, The Creeper found himself entered in a brutal match at CW’s Inferno Crisis. The Torment Compartment.
During the course of the match, The Creeper entered into a struggle with Rukkus, then enforcer of the Unholy Ministry. Deep into the match, however, both monsters were eliminated, and proceeded to leave the cage. But this was not the end of Inferno crisis for the two competitors. Rukkus was enraged at The Creeper believing the monster to be responsible for his loss. Before the confrontation escalated to violent heights, Isaac Rasputin got in between the two giants. The Doctor ranted and Raved at Rukkus, and was preparing to command The Creeper to assault the enforcer.
What happened next, nobody could have imagined. The furious Rukkus was in no mood to hear the cries of Rasputin, and decided he needed to be shut up. Using his soul dagger, Rukkus plunged the weapon straight into the heart of Rasputin…The Creeper did not even have time to defend his master. With one last gasp of breath, Isaac Rasputin fell to the floor. Dead.

And when Rasputin’s brain died, so did The Creeper’s. The monster’s entire body shut down, as he stood still…lifeless.

The Unholy Ministry were impressed, to say the least, by the abilities The Creeper demonstrated at Inferno Crisis. Both Darkspade and Rukkus were not sure what he was, but they knew he could be used to their advantage.

After Rasputin’s death, The Creeper seemed to have died too, and was buried in a graveyard, just like his master. The Ministry believed fully that The Creeper was dead, but the Unholy powers they possessed were capable of unspeakable things. One of those being the ability to resurrect the dead. The Creeper’s body was promptly dug up, and taken away in a body bag.

The Unholy Ministry had plans

The Ministry felt as if the Creeper could be improved, and took it upon themselves to do so. The hulking corpse was hooked up to a series of unholy tubes, whose function could only be known by Darkspade himself. After weeks of experimentation, The Creeper looked nothing like he once did. His entire being was transformed the unholy technology now oozing through the blood. His mind was affected immensely, transformed to function against its original capabilities. This was not the original creature Rasputin intended to create. He has been tampered with…significantly changed.
The Creeper had no past memory of what he once was. Now all he knew was obedience to the ministry.
They had created a monster. A new monster.

The CW was introduced to a far more dangerous creature than the one they saw at Inferno Crisis. Nicknamed “The Unholy Monster” The Creeper began his reign of terror alongside Darkspade and Rukkus. Creeper’s skills in combat were clearly well developed…but his mind.

His mind was still as feeble as it ever was. The Creeper lived to inflict violence on his enemies, but intellectually he could barely be considered alive. Without the leadership of Darkspade and Rukkus, he would be completely lost and confused. He acted as if he was some kind of sadistic child.
The ministry carried on with using Creeper as a weapon of destruction. However, the unholy monster began to act strangely as time went on…

The Creeper revisited the very same graveyard he was taken from, but for different reasons than the ministry had. He came for the body of Dr. Isaac Rasputin, but the monster himself did not even know why. He felt a strange connection the corpse, and decided to dig it up. Creeper was legitimately disturbed by the presence of Rasputin’s body. His mind ached at the sight of it, and he was becoming more prone to blacking out while in its presence. He also felt as if the corpse was trying to steal his identity, which was unacceptable. The Creeper then took up dismembering the rotted body and even cannibalizing it in order to “Take back what was his”.

The Unholy Ministry was in turmoil to begin with, when The Creeper showed signs of instability. The monster was beginning to crack as his mind was acting in ways he was not used to. The blueprints of Rasputin began to reappear in his brain. Eventually The Creeper started to remember, but nothing specific. It was just enough to drive him mad. He ran away from the ministry and Darkspade, and was not heard of again for years. Soon after; the ministry dissolved and Darkspade forgot about the Creeper…

The Creeper was tormented by visions and ideas. All this knowledge would rush into his mind like a flood, but there was so much at once that he could scarcely decipher what he was uncovering in his own mind. And even though he could not totally understand what was going on, he was being pulled to a place, that he thought, he had never been before.

It took The Creeper months, but eventually he found himself across the Atlantic in a town that seemed all too familiar to him. The less urban the town got, the more at home the monster felt, as he lumbered through a disheveled village and found himself standing in front of a rotting manor house.

At this point the Creeper was in pain. His brain felt like it was on fire as black, unholy ooze began to seep from his gums and streak down his chest. It was almost as if his mind and body were rejecting a foreign substance that was not supposed to be there. The monster fought through the pain however, and smashed through the manor’s front doors with animalistic rage. Once inside he quickly stormed himself through another door and down a flight of stairs…until he was once again inside the workshop of Dr. Isaac Rasputin. This was where he was supposed to be, he could feel it, the destination was finally reached.

The chair he used to sit in still stood at the end of the room as The Creeper lurched over to sit on it. As he took his place on the “throne” an intense pain blasted through the very essence of him. His eyes rolled back into his head as the black ooze began to erupt from his mouth without warning. The Monster rose up, thriving in anguish, as he proceeded to violently vomit gallons of that black ooze on the stone floors of the workshop. As the ooze splashed against the tiles, Creeper’s body was slowly changing. The monster that the unholy ministry transformed him was disappearing, as his skin even began to melt off into that same dark slime that was bursting from his throat.

After a few minutes, The Creeper slowly rose back to his feet, not resembling the unholy incarnation that he was only a few moments ago. He was a new monster…more of a man than he ever was before. Suddenly he knew. He knew everything. He was aware.

The monster walked over to the table and grabbed the Rasputin’s journal and began reading through it. He grinned to himself. The black ooze still bubbling on the floor.

“A shared consciousness….”

The man who created me did not want his legacy to die. I am his legacy…

He used the essence of his mind to create a new being, reciprocating his own ambitions as much as possible. His underlying desire for power and greed however, caused me to be the erratic monster, that I am…

When Isaac died, my mind was not developed enough to sustain itself alone, so my body shut down. The unholy ministry actually saved my existence, but at the cost of becoming a drooling tool of death for the group…

The ministry’s experimentation on my body tampered with the functioning of my mind, so I was never fully able to run the course of development that was expected of me. Eventually, however, my mind broke free of that unholy power and I escaped to unlock it completely…

Finding Rasputin’s workshop finally triggered what was needed for my dormant mind to finally evolve to its full potential, and expunge the unholy energy that twisted my body into that subservient beast…

Even though I share my master’s conscious, I am not him. I am my own being. But I realize I’m no normal man…

I’m a walking abomination who is the exemplification of a power hungry man’s hidden desires...

I have been called The Creeper. And I plan on doing what my creator never could…
