Brandon had been about to enter the locker room but had stopped when he'd heard Darkspade and a voice he was all too familiar with. He stopped with his hand still on the door handle and the words he heard made him go cold. He moved quickly from the door, striding quickly down the corridor and out toward the parking lot.

45 minutes later he arrived at Charon's front door, he held his hand up to knock and the door opened. Charon looked down the driveway as though checking to see if he'd been followed and then gestured for him to come inside.

"Its dangerously close to a full moon for a werewolf to be wandering round by himself, it must be serious."

Brandon wasn't amused, Charon picked up on his mood quickly and gave him her full attention.

"Markus is about."

Charon stopped and stared at him.

"That, my friend, is not funny at all."

Brandon sat down at the desk across from her.

"Our friend Markus just paid a visit to Darkspade and the topic of conversation was your death if he didn't give his life for yours."

Charon frowned, she already had enough on her plate without this but then again it could work in her favour. She already had the DNA results regarding Kizmat, she had the backing of the Shadow Realm, something Markus wasn't aware of yet and now confirmation that Markus was beginning his web of lies. She already suspected that Darkspade was struggling without the prescence of Sincentius and was working on a solution, she was playing everything exceptionally close to her chest this time and she wasn't going to trust anyone this time except herself.

"I'm working on it, trust me. I must admit Markus has come out of the darkness a little sooner than expected but then life never does follow rules does it."

Brandon nodded.

"You want me to keep quiet and say nothing?"

Charon looked at him, smiled and then nodded.

"I've been betrayed too many times this last couple of years by people I trusted as you well know and you are the only person I know who knows how that feels and that is why you are the only one I now trust."

Brandon leaned back in the chair, his hair waving impossibly in the air and looked at Charon knowingly.

"You got a safe place for a wandering werewolf?"

Charon grinned.

"You know it."
