Been an insane long time since I visited CreatureWrestling. Brings back a lot of memories. There is a lot going on in our world right now- namely a pandemic and the absurd "president" we have... seems like every month there is something going on.
I been very busy, as usual. Lost my last parent in 2013, moved and got married a few years ago. Career shift into Special Education obtaining a credential and working on a second masters in educational inclusion.
So basically, adulting aka surviving like everyone else is trying to survive. At the age of now 41 years old, I feel that finally I can perhaps look towards retirement one day LOL... don't we all?
But anyway- I learned while studying behavior interventions and socio-emotional strategies and working with emotionally disturbed children- that self-reflections is a form of mindfulness that helps support our abilities to cope and strengthen our vagus nerve/and control the fight or flight sensations that erupt in our biology. CreatureWrestling to me was quite a test of humanity.... it has always intrigued me how human beings interact so peculiarity online- including myself. I don't really talk the way I write either- which is also another interesting phenomena.
Well the purpose of this announcement is to share a column of posts that I made to reflect upon this topic... below you can see the links. Yeah sure what I said is a form of my ranting- boy did this place certainly was something else. I realize that everyone has their own point-of-view and perspectives. I always tried to understand all of the sides- even the crazy ass ones.... and be objective as best as I could. I realize also that the last ends of CW was quite a lavish fest of vulgar language and toilet humor etc but we intended it to be that way on purpose because in short, me and Red had an end date in mind and basically said "fuck it" and went with the flow and mostly posted as a form of social commentary at the equally outlandish insanity that was... Creature eFeds both in-game and out.
Despite it all, I am so so proud of this project. I know in my reflections I am writing as a form of a goodbye, but who knows. I do hope that someone may stumble upon this place and become inspired, read what happened and try and avoid the mistakes.
