It was like playing chess, she sat across from Richard and smiled. She now leaned forward herself and picked up the mug of hot tea, she took a swig before setting it back down carefully, eyeing Richard like a shark would eye it's prey.

"I'm not so interested in the money Richard, what I am interested in is the Absolute Undisputed Championship belt and the Staff of Mortis."

She looked directly at him as she said it trying to gauge his reaction, his face once again made several weird contortions, Charon couldn't be sure but she now wondered how much control Mortis actually had, it was interesting, maybe she should in fact pay Mortis a little visit. Richard now looked at her.

"I don't know anything about this staff thing you keep banging on about but I agree, the Absolute Undisputed Championship belt should be ours!"

She knew that when Richard said "ours" he meant his and Alex's, she wouldn't be included in that and once again he'd steered the conversation away from the Staff. This time she smiled to herself, it was no good, she would have to make a short visit to Castle Mortis, not to get the Staff because she was pretty sure it wasn't there anyway but she had other things to discuss with Mortis or the abomination that was Mortis. She couldn't wait to see his face when she turned up on his doorstep but back to the point in hand.

"I agree. However, just think what we could do if we had the Staff of Mortis in our possession?"

She smiled before she continued in a conspiratorial way.

"The thing is, Mortis doesn't know this, but I know how to use the Staff. If we had it, not only could we get the belt back, we could control the whole operation from top to bottom. What do you think?"

She watched Richards face carefully....
