Richard was about to leave when Charon stood up.

"Richard?"

He turned back round, she was standing now and even looked slightly unsure of herself which was unusual.

"I meant it Charon, no more wild goose chases!"

Charon cleared her throat and looked down at the desk.

"Okay. I just wanted you to know that I'm sorry about shooting you and blowing up your office, really I am and if I could change what I did.....well...I would."

For the first time in a long time Richard was actually speechless, he wasn't sure he'd heard her correctly and he had to turn right round and look at her.

"What? I mean, sorry, what did you just say?"

Charon sat back down at the desk and sighed heavily.

"I'll understand completely if you don't want to accept my apology, what I did was.....well....nasty. So, I'm sorry, really I am."

Richard didn't know where to look....
