Events changed but Lilith practically died in the same way... The young man saved Kizmat as though he knew that Kizmat would die. Brandon stood there pondering this and realized a truth.... that he was possibly insane or the ONLY one not affected by time changing.... he felt though that there had to be more changes, and so, he continued to investigate further by playing back memories stored in the machine.
The next scene occurs days later and reveals Brandon arriving by carriage to the old Death Family estate. The carriage stops in-front of the manor and Brandon steps out of it- while gripping his cane- he looks in all directions and walks up the steps where the door to the manor opens and Charon Death was stood there surprised.
Charon Death: Brandon! What brings you here and why did you come by carriage?
Brandon: Charon- we have nought any time to speak at the moment. Let us enter and I will explain.
** Once inside of the manor, Brandon and Charon are seated on a large sofa in the living room and drinking a spot of tea. Charon still has a confused look on her face- which finally prompts Brandon to speak.
Brandon: Oi I am here because events have changed, dear Charon. As in time has changed. I know it all sounds bonkers but trust me when I say that there is an entity that has been pulling the strings and we must find out who and why.
** Charon trusts Brandon enough to give him her full uninterrupted attention- she nods as a reply and sips her tea to hear him further.
Brandon: Right. My suspicions started once I left the displacement match at CreatureMania. In an effort to find out how to stop Hra'gad, I revisited the book you recovered from the Catacombs... the discrepancy in the text proved to me that time has changed. How I remembered it... in fact, as I can see by your confused look you just gave, the text did not contain the name "Hra'gad" but rather, "Hra'Spyder"... as in, Red Spyder.
** Charon lowered her tea cup Charon Death: Hmm was this the only incident that you noticed a change?
Brandon: Oi... you're bloody going to flip further- I did experience many 'changes'... for instance, Kizmat never made it out of the Final Fight with Lilith.... he was beheaded. [Charon gasps] and now, the records show that a mysterious child appeared wearing the MWE Undisputed Belt.... that child is the key to these changes I believe.
** Standing up, Charon was beside herself and then after a short while she looks at Brandon with tears in her eyes. Charon Death: Okay... if time changed as you believe it to be... I'd rather have Hra-whatever called differently if it means that Kizmat remains alive... I don't see the bloody problem with that... I don't want to even live in a world with Kizmat dead.
** Brandon stood up using his cane as leverage Brandon: Right. I understand. I am not asking for you to change the events to go back to what I remembered them- I prefer that Kizmat is alive as well mate... However, we don't know the negative effects, and if there is a being that can change time - then mate we need to know who it is and prevent time from changing again.
Charon Death: Okay. How can I help?
Brandon: First, we must understand the rippling effects caused by time changing, and identify the pros and cons to determine if there is a logical pattern. From that can we pinpoint the source. I know that it is hard for you- I know no other Creature of the Night who has my talents- but there is a way for you to see through this dense fog of change as I to help.... and for that, I have called upon an old friend.
Charon Death: What can he offer?
Brandon: He should be here by midnight, and his knowledge will be of great benefit to pinpoint the pattern we seek.....
