Tawiscara had flown outside from an upstairs window and had perched atop the garage looking down at the car with the "flat" tire. He then flew to the other side of the car and tilted his head sideways before flying back to the top of the garage. Kali had seen the car through Tawiscara's vantage point but to be honest she hadn't really needed to. She stood right in the middle of the doorway with her arms crossed and glared at them in her best "charon is now pissed off" impression.

"I am going to make one statement now and then you are going to leave the same way you came in here or I am going to rip both your f*ucking heads off!"

Without realising Kali had hit upon a threat a little too close to home and both scientsts made that highly irritating "kiieeee" noise. Kali screwed up her face.

"Tell me something, you drove up here but you have a flat tire, yet your car isn't tilted like it has a flat and I don't see a flat from here either. I think you're a lying pair off assholes and you need to leave now or I may feel the need to nail your asses to the nearest tree!"

The two scientists looked at each other in unison, if it hadn't have been so eerie it would've been funny. Kali was genuinely puzzled and had no idea what the hell they were even doing here but she also knew that she was charged with protecting Augustus and Kizmat. She also knew that Charon had sensitive documents somewhere in the house and that there was also a separate lab somewhere but Charon had kept all this information private.

In the sealed computer rooms Augustus was tapping frantically at a computer console trying to override his own security system when he noticed an odd entry, someone had already overridden external security before putting it back in place. He pulled up the feed from the security camera's, he scrolled through until he found the hallway camera showing visitors at the front door. He could see Kali still talking to the men at the door, he didn't like it and why the hell had she sealed them all down here anyway? The only one who could help was Charon but she was dead to the world. Augustus decided to try and wake her anyway.

"Charon, Charon! Wake up! WAKE UP! For fuck sakes....WAKE THE FUCK UP!"

He shook her and she groaned and wearily opened one eye but had a hard time focussing.

"Wossup? Whaddayawant?"

Augustus got right up into her face.

"Theres some weird men at the door and I think they somehow overrode the security system but I don't know how they did it and they just look weird!"

He said it in one breath. Charons brain felt foggy and slack. Augustus hauled her up, ignoring her protests that she wanted to go back to sleep and plonked her in front of the monitor. The image of the men was sharp and in full colour, she could see Kali holding them at the door. She looked at them, they looked oddly familiar, it was the eyes.

"Is there sound on this thing?"

Adrenalin was finally doing its job, it washed around her nervous sytem and alarm bells began jangling in her subconscious. Augustus turned the sound on and Charon listened, then came the "kieeee" noise again.

"They look...but thats impossible! They also sound like it, how is that possible?"

Augustus stared at her in frustration.

"Augustus, the program you used to block Eva's communication, where was the signal coming from?"

"You mean where was Eva's commands coming from?"

Charon nodded.

"Well, it was hard to pin-point but it was from the direction of Castle Mortis but I couldn't locate it exactly. I ended up having to intercept it."

Charon reached out to Kali, her energy levels were slowly draining again and she could feel the exhaustion creeping back. Kali stood at the door watching the odd little men when Charons voice floated to the front of her thoughts.

"Try to get rid of them, if they won't leave let them in and let them take what they want. I don't think they'll take no for an answer."

Kali could feel how weak Charon was and sent her own thoughts back to her.

"What the hell are they?"

Charon only said one word before she drifted back into unconsciousness.

"Eva."
