Red Spyder/April
Bringing down Steve
Having only a couple seconds to react, Red picked up the nearest object in his reach, which was an ashtray sitting on a nearby table, and threw it at Steve. The ashtray hit its mark, Steve's head, and although it didn't knock him down or even seem to injure him at all like it would've done to a normal man, it did cause him to stop in his tracks and look back at Red, as if the blow made him decide to switch targets. It was then that April snapped out of her daze and swung the object she'd original brought for Red, a machete, at Steve's neck. He suddenly returned his view to her though and easily stopped the machete with one of his hands. Wrapping his fingers around the blade, he wrenched the weapon from her hands and he then took the machete by its handle.
Before he could use the machete on her though, Red ran up behind Steve and proceeded to jump onto his back, wrapping his arms around Steve's neck, trying to choke him out. Steve began stumbling around, trying to keep his balance. He dropped the machete, which landed blade first into the floor, the tip of it digging into the wood and the weapon got stuck like that. Steve then bumped into a table and fell over on top of it, taking Red with him. The combined weight of both been caused the table to collapse and Red ended up loosing his grip on Steve. As they both struggled to their feet, April went to the machete and started prying it free. When she did get it free, Red was standing and Steve was about to be standing as well.
April: "Red!"
Looking at her, Red saw that she'd tossed the machete in his direction. Catching it by the handle, he quickly turned his attention back to Steve. He started to swing the machete at Steve, but this time, instead of catching the blade, he punched at it, causing the blade to actually snap in half. Steve let out another one of his roars as Red stared in disbelief at what was left of the machete still in his hand.
Red: "You're really starting to piss me off, you dickless bastard!"
Dropping what was left of the machete to the floor, Red began backing away as April searched for something else to try using against Steve. He didn't know what to do now. Hand-to-hand combat wasn't working. Steve seemed to have no problem dealing with any weapons. Last time they'd met, he'd knocked Steve out of a window to the ground far below with a chainsaw stuck in his chest and that obviously hadn't stopped him, at least not for long. He wondered if even a tank would be able to stop Steve. He had his doubts.
Steve advanced on Red as he continued backing up, moving into the living room. As Red entered the room though, he saw that April was standing to the side of doorway, a fire poker in hand. As soon as Steve went past her, she swung the fire poker at the back of his head as hard as she could, knocking him sideways and to one knee. He started to stand back up, but April hit him in the head again, knocking him all the way down that time. She then hit him one last time for good measure and Steve became motionless, although she kept the fire poker in hand.
April: "Think he's dead?"
Red: "Highly doubtful."
Red then got an idea. Going over to a bookcase that was close to Steve, Red began trying to push it over onto Steve. Setting down the fire poker, April went to help Red, but before they could push the bookcase over, Steve started moving again.
