The Ending. (Dark places) adult language warning!

Charon watched as Gojinn headed for the really big shards of glass but was seriously disappointed to see him twist and avoid the worst. She saw him wince as a couple of large shards tore into his back, she could barely see from one eye but she slid and stumbled down the pile of glass toward him. She had picked up another shard on the way down and she watched as Gojinn lay trying to get together enough energy to get back up.

She reached him and quickly straddled him so that she had one foot either side of his back and she carved a pentagram inside the circle she’d already etched there. Gojinn was a pest to her and she wanted rid of him, well she was about to get rid of him permanently. She began chanting in a strange language and the circled pentagram on Gojinn’s back began to glow a fiery red. Gojinn screamed and thrashed about finally able to knock Charon from her feet and interrupt the chanting. She hit the guard railing hard, breaking her ribs and winding her momentarily. Gojinn thrashed hard injuring himself more than Charon had, he staggered to his feet and tried to put some distance between himself and Charon. What he didn’t know was now that she had started there was no need for her to be close to him.

Gojinn screamed at her.

“WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING? ARE YOU CRAZY?!”

The odd look on Charon’s face told him that something dark, something unhinged had taken over, the past had caught up with her momentarily. Dark shadows swirled in her eyes and she laughed. It was hollow and evil at the same time; she’d tapped into the dark part of her soul that she repressed on a daily basis. Mortismere’s teaching and Darkspade’s influence all came to the surface now and she was going to send Gojinn to a very dark place.

“Gojinn, you are a nuisance, a pest that needs exterminating.”

Charon continued to chant and Gojinn fell to his knee’s trying to reach round to his back as it burned white and he could smell the flesh, his own flesh, burning. Charon could feel her own power draining as the spell’s put in place to prevent this type of thing from happening but she managed to get out the last word before collapsing herself.

There was a flash of light, then darkness seemed to hover in the air around Gojinn for a couple of seconds, then there was a loud pop and Gojinn disappeared. Charon slowly lost consciousness.

It was several hours before Charon came round bandaged from head to toe, one eye was completely covered and Kizmat was sat next to her. He didn’t look best pleased when he realised she was awake.

“What the fuck did you do to Gojinn?”

Charon’s mind was racing trying to catch up with what she’d been doing before she woke up here. It was a couple of minutes before she remembered the dark rising up in her during the match with Gojinn, something about the man bought the worst out in her. She looked up at Kizmat.

“I…I…uh…I really don’t know.”

Kizmat was seething, he had, had no idea that Charon was capable of such dark magic.

“You must remember what you said, you must bring him back.”

Now Charon was getting angry.

“What the hell for? He’s a fucking pain in the arse! He deserves everything he gets in my personal opinion.”

Kizmat gave up.

“Fine. You are very close to getting a suspension for that little display you put on, they also want to blame you for shattering the glass cell and injuring hundreds of people.”

Charon glared at him.

“What!? I had nothing to do with the cell shattering! They’re just trying to cover their own arses!”

Kizmat shrugged.

“Unless you can tell me where you sent Gojinn, I can’t get him back and the powers that be WILL suspend you without pay.”

Charon was now absolutely thermonuclear with rage.

“I DON’T FUCKING KNOW WHERE I SENT THE ARSEHOLE! I CAN’T ALWAYS CONTROL THE DARK AND I CAN’T EVEN TELL YOU WHAT I SAID!”

She winced as pain speared its way through her ribs. Kizmat stood up.

“I’ll get a copy of the tape, I’ll try and work out what you said and see if I can’t reverse what you did.”

Charon was now grinding her teeth, trying to keep her temper under control. Kizmat walked from the hospital room and Charon slammed her own head into the backboard of the bed. A memory flashed through her head, it was crystal clear. Oh so that was where she’d sent him, the place Morty and Spade used to send her as a child to scare her. She closed her eyes and chanted slowly trying to feel every word and tried to visualise the place she wanted Gojinn to re-appear. Once she finished she heard a loud pop and yelling from the front desk of the hospital, I suppose it wasn’t everyday people just appeared in front of numerous startled and injured people.
