There had been a split second when Charon and Gojinn had looked at each other with a "oh shit" kind of expression, at that moment Charon had dived for the cover of the corner behind her, she had no idea where Gojinn had gone. She had curled up as tight as she could with her arms covering her head and her face down to avoid damage to her eyes and face. Thundering shards of glass rained down all around her and over her, the noise filled her ears and the vibration of the volume of glass clattering down onto the floor seemed to fill her very body. She could feel shards slicing into her back, arms and legs, she couldn't explain why but she gritted her teeth as though it was a guard against everything that was happening.

It seemed like an eternity before the glass stopped falling, a slight dust cloud rose up from the enormous pile of shattered shards and the light glinted off the razor sharp edges in a menacing way. The silence seemed to fill the whole arena after the thunder and cracking of the dome, before the members of the audience started whispering and pointing to the ring where there seemed to be no signs of life. JR and King were silent for several moments as they too stared at the pile of glass, watching waiting, hoping for any sign of life.

The camera began to pan in to a small trickle of blood that had started to seep from one side of the glinting pile, it was magnified to terrifying proportions on the creaturetron. Nothing or no one seemed to move for what seemed like hours but was in reality only seconds.

Charon was still curled in a ball and knew she had been hurt, she was almost sure she could feel at least three large shards sticking in her back. In retrospect it probably hadn't been the best idea to leave her neck exposed, she could feel blood trickling down her back. She knew it was going to hurt and would hurt even more getting out, she had no idea how far under the glass she was but she could see she was already laying in a pool of blood, how much of that was hers was anyone's guess, some of it could be Gojinn's.

She pushed her legs out gritting her teeth against the rasping feel of the glass, her left foot seemed to hit air. She pulled herself down towards the place where her foot had hit air and her right leg now came free and she rolled over onto her front, causing a ton of other deep cuts and lacerations. One of the shards in her back had come free and she winced as the others caught other pieces of glass as she slowly shoved her way backwards out of the hell hole. She worked her way free slowly leaving a wet trail of fresh blood behind her.

On the creaturetron Charons foot could be seen and as she moved people watched with baited breath as the bottom end of her body worked its way free, prompting some rude comments from King with JR looking at him in the most disapproving way he could manage.

Charon finally came free of the glass pile and collapsed to the floor, it was a horrifying sight and she was covered in blood from head to toe and there were large shards still embedded in her back. She pulled herself up using the steel framework and reached round with her right hand and pulled the shards free prompting some members of the audience to faint. Charon was now looking around for Gojinn. The camera had panned back into the corner where the blood was still trickling from and suddenly one of Gojinn's gloved fists came free of the glass pile....
