As the audience waited for the next match to begin the lights in the
stadium began to flicker, only slightly at first but enough to catch their attention. People began to look around, worried that there might be a power cut at any minute they started to hurry back to their seats to get their belongings together. The flickering stopped and so did the audience, a strange silence descended and people stood stock still, aware that something odd was happening. Suddenly, without warning, all the lights popped off, plunging the entire arena into pitch black. People screamed and little kids could be heard crying. Only seconds later the emergency lights blinked on and static began to fill the giant screen, the noise filled the arena. A couple of grainy pictures jumped across the screen before a shadowy figure could be made out filling the entire space. The picture finally settled, the audience glued to the screen barely breathing.

The shadowy picture remained that way for another couple of seconds before it cleared further to reveal a woman standing with her hands resting on the back of a large, ornate wooden chair. Her blonde hair tousled carelessly across her shoulders and down her back and her blue eyes looking down at the floor, she wore a fitted black t-shirt with a skull and crossbones motif across the chest. She finally lifted her head to look directly at the camera.

“Its been a long time since I graced this place with my presence but now I’m back. I need however to address a small issue – Mortismere. My dearest. Whatever were you thinking? You do realise there is the small matter of our divorce to discuss? I want half of everything.”

She shifted slightly. Her left hand came more into shot and upon her finger was a ring, a wedding band with strange inscriptions that could just be seen.

“As for everyone else, I’ll simply start at the bottom and take you all out one by one and if a title should come my way then fine but I am more interested in causing chaos, destruction and pain and Mortismere….make sure you bring a pen to sign the divorce papers and plenty of cash because if you put up a fight I won’t make it easy for you.”

Faint banging and screaming drifted from the arena speakers as the picture began to flicker and faded into static. The audience stared at the screen for awhile, then coming back to their senses they began to gabble, looking around to make sure there was no shadowy figure standing behind them as they spoke.

Charon Death was back and all Hell was about to be let loose……
