Brandon straightened up, waving his left hand theatrically, then turned to Mortious.

"Miss me?!"

Even Mortious was taken aback by the sudden appearance but Brandons real attention was on both the staff and the Knight. Charon half grinned as the truth began to truly dawn on her, Brandon could use the staff, it's why he had it and she gave the knight a sly look. Even the knight seemed to realise that the skinny, strange, wild haired Brit had some sort of power and was also eyeing him suspiciously. Brandon didn't really appear to notice as he wandered over to Charon and took the staff from her, then turned to look at her with a quizzical glance.

"Did you really think I'd let you go gallivanting off with me best stick and all that?"

He waved the staff round in the air, Mortious even ducked as the staff was pointed in his general direction and the knight froze to the spot as it hovered in his direction. Brandon didn't even appear to know the power he was wielding but Charon wasn't so sure as she watched him. He pointed the staff at the knight but was looking over his shoulder and talking to Mortious.

"I really think you need to do somefing about that bloody body odour mate, it's really getting into the fabric of my clothes. So, what's this shit about Charon and what is it that you've managed to get yourself into now?"

Charon frowned at him, she had no idea which personality was talking or whether it was the one that knew the true power of the staff and what she needed it for.

"Um.....well....."

Brandon looked at her as though she was wasting his time and gave her a head signal which suggested she might want to hurry up. She glared at him.

"Do you even know what you're doing half the time Brandon?"

It was his turn to glare at her but Mortious was getting impatient and lost his temper.....
