Fein rounded the corner to see Evangelion plugged into the terminal isolated for Queen Lillith, he opened his mouth to make some demand or other but was suddenly struck by the fact that Evangelion had not moved on hearing his approach. He closed his mouth again and asked as calmly as he possibly could.

"What are you doing Evangelion?"

Eva did not move or respond for several minutes, when she did, she didn't turn round.

"I required a faster terminal to ruminate over a problem which has been bothering me. As this terminal is not linked to the others, it is therefore faster, cutting down processing time by 65%"

He stood there for some time trying to decide what he should do next. His next task was to check on the Queen, she seemed fine, nothing was out of place. He accessed a secondary terminal to be certain and the response he received was rather unexpected to say the least.

"Fein, you will leave my Evangelion to do the work she wishes, we have much to discuss and much time to catch up on. Now LEAVE US!"

Fein took a step back and shot a suspicious glance toward Eva, what he couldn't see, however, was the small smile that lifted the edges of Eva's lips slightly. He strode out of the room fearing the Queens next instruction if he argued with her.

Eva/Charon had been conversing with the Queen for hours and it was finally bearing fruit.
