Back in the virtual world Charon straightened up and smiled as her injuries healed within the blink of an eye. Sai blades appeared in her hands and she thrust the first straight through the rib cage of the hangman, the second was thrown with deadly accuracy straight between the eyes of Poison. She watched as the two disappeared, she turned, closed her eyes and this time she manipulated the virtual world into the Temple of Death. Lillith turned to find herself facing Charon, she screeched angrily and launched herself fingernails first, stright at Charons face.

Back in the complex where energy was building at an alarming rate, Darkspade already had a crowbar in hand. Brandon was already working on the complex doorlock but being impatient Spade merely smashed it to pieces, reached into the mass of wires and hauled as hard as he could. Sparks fizzed and spat and as the door partially opened Moebius reached round and grabbed it tightly before it could close again. Brandon slid his skinny frame through the gap and grabbed a frightened looking Crimson by the wrist. He passed her through the gap to Darkspade who literally hauled her up and put her on his shoulders. Once all of them were back in the corridor, it was Brandon who voiced his concerns.

"I don't like to hurry and all that but the energy thats building, is kind of increasing at a rather quick rate."

Moebius watched partially fascinated by the effect it had on Brandons hair, Spade who had been sitting on his emotions and frustrations was also ready to blow his top.

"WELL LETS GO THEN! DON'T JUST STAND THERE LIKE A F..."

He paused suddenly remembering that Crimson was only a kid and Charon had told him off last time he'd cussed in front of her. His mind was drawn back to the job in hand at the thought of Charon. He turned to Moebius now.

"The energy, its to do with Charon, something to do with the virtual plane and Lillith."

Moebius nodded.

"Do you remember when I battled it out with Lillith, the energy levels were off the scale then, can you imagine what they're going to be like with Charon fully charged up with Shadows and limelight?"

Brandon stopped suddenly.

"Oh shit."

Crimson looked at him with a tear streaked face.

"Thats a naughty word, I'm gonna tell mum you said that."

Both Moebius and Darkspade looked at him darkly. It was Darkspade who voiced their concern.

"What do you mean exactly?"

Brandon seemed to be calculating something in his brain and then looked at his watch, he then looked at the corridor.

"If I'm right we have less than 8 minutes to find Charon, disconnect her from the system, find our way out and then get through the portal before this whole place goes nuclear."

Spade stared at him.

"Define 'nuclear' for me."

Brandon made a big whooshing noise and mimed a huge mushroom cloud and then followed it with.

"But like a trillion times worse."

Back in the lab Charon was still jacked into the system as Fein and Markus stared evilly at each other.
