Charon now called upon forces deep within her own being, forces she barely remembered even possessing but now they seemed to rise easily to the surface. The shadows began to gather around her, swirling very like Lilliths own power and without any real thought they seemed to know exactly what they were to do. She took a deep breath and allowed her mind to fully focus for the first time in years, she'd been too distracted for too long and the feeling of control and power fitted her well.

Lillith seemed to ooze, there was no other way to describe it but both knew it was the calm before the storm. Charon was going to allow Lillith to make the first move, she smiled evilly as she let her mind become a blank canvas for her subconscious and her creativity. Lillith lunged in at her, grabbing for her chest, Charon raised an eyebrow and sidestepped, slapping her away like a naughty child.

The thought lodged in Charons mind like a piece of gum, a smile curled her lips and she turned and faced Lillith properly for the first time in their encounter.

"Naughty girl Lillith, you will be punished for that."

The chastisement seemed to enrage Lillith to insane levels, her face face twisted into an ugly contortion, this time she went straight in for the kill, grabbing Charon round the throat. The shadows swirled dangerously and one minute Lillith had Charon the next she was behind her. Charon grabbed her round the head in a chokehold. Lillith now disappeared and re-appeared a little way off. The fight had begun.

Back in the lab Fein watched the energy levels rising to dangerous readings, he moved suddenly but not toward Evangelion but toward Markus. He thrust the joyeuse into his gut and as he folded over double, he hammered Markus over the back of the head so hard the joyeuse partially snapped. The nanobots dispersed momentarily to re-group and rethink their plan as Fein moved quickly to the console and punched at a com button, he screamed in it.

"VENT THE ELECTRICAL ENERGY THATS BUILDING, DO IT NOW!"

As he turned round he could see the form of Markus reforming.

Elsewhere, Darkspade, Moebius and Brand-X had managed to release the energy stored in Gunthers mullet and had opened a small portal into Neo-Earth. It was Darkspade who felt the energy disruption first and he knew who was responsible especially when he noticed all the shadows where they were standing began to flicker in towards the portal.

"Charon is drawing on the shadows, she's confronted Lillith already."

Brandon's hair had began to wave energetically and became more unmanageable than usual, he desperately tried to flatten it.

"There's an imbalance in the electrical field, I don't think we have a lot of time to do this."

They looked at Darkspade, his face was already set and before there could be any more discussion he stepped through.
