Mr Gray and Augustus were in the huge room Gray used for his "special projects" Augustus, under Grays supervision had managed to hack into one of Lilliths sub routines. Augustus was quick with his alterations which is why Gray had let him do it himself, he had been surprised at how quickly Augustus had picked up and retained all the extra information but then he was Charon's son and she too was quick to learn and adapt.

Augustus spotted the the virtual reality command, watched it go live and turned to look at Gray. Gray nodded, hooking Augustus up to the massive machine.

"I can monitor everything from here, use your instinct not logic once your in. Lillith will try and trick and coerce you but remain focussed and you'll find what you need."

Augustus nodded. Gray had trained him separately from Charon in the run up to the CM7 match, he had wanted Augustus to develop his own style and he most certainly had. Gray had been surprised by the vicious streak Augustus contained and the style looked familiar but it wasn't Charon's. It had taken Gray a couple of days to go through the matches he had on disc but there he saw the style as plain as the nose on your face and he had marvelled at how genetics could influence something as instinctive as fighting.

Augustus' finger hovered over the enter button, Gray nodded and put the goggles over Augustus' face and he depressed the button and was plunged immediately into the virtual world created by the alternate Earth. He looked around, he was in a subway and he grinned inwardly.

"This is soooo a rip off of the Matrix. Bloody train will come flying in soon I suppose."

He snorted in derision.

"I'd expected something...well...more."

Gray piped up in his ear.

"Keep your eyes open, it might be a way of trying to lure you into a false sense of security."

Gray watched the images of Augustus in the subway flickering on the monitor in front of him and then turned to check Augustus' vital signs. All they could do now was wait.
