Gray watched the screen as Lilliths life support began to fade and all her energy was now taken up with trying to retain control over neo earth. Augustus was no longer drawing energy from anywhere, he seemed to be creating his own and as Gray watched him sat in the chair, he realised that not only had he grown in the virtual world, his body had changed for real in this physical world and had taken on a body shape very similar to his own fathers, he looked physically like Kizmat.

In the virtual world Augustus watched as the renderings began to flicker and fall into lines of coding, Mortismere was screaming in anger and frustration and Augustus began to realise exactly the kind of power he possessed and how much responsibility he had. He began to see why his mother and father had protected him so much but now, here, was his chance to prove he could handle the power given to him at birth.

He held out his hand, a plasma like energy sat warmly and comfortably in his palm. Mortismere stopped suddenly and watched transfixed as Augustus juggled the ball from hand to hand, the wind rushed through his hair. He flicked his right hand casually in the direction of Mortismere and the ball of energy shot towards him, Mortismere tried to put up a dark shield but the energy ball went stright through and hit Mortismere in the chest throwing him backwards to the floor where his image began to fade but before it did Augustus spoke to him very calmly.

"You have tried time and again to destroy both my mother and father but no more. You will find that clean magic, white magic marks far more deeply than dark magic. Heed my words demon and remember me when you awake from your nightmares."

Before Mortismere could scream back at him his connection to the virtual world was severed and he disappeared. Lillith was now little more than a ghostly image.

"Lillith its time to leave now, you have no control in this world or mine, save yourself if you must."

Lillith was in two minds she wanted to save neo earth but she also wanted to destroy Augustus. Her hesitation cost her, Augustus conjured up another plasma ball and flicked it with a casual and almost lazy movement of his wrist. She was now disconnected from the virtual world and also from Markus but Augustus had seen some coding from Lilliths mainframe and he realised quickly it put Charon in grave danger. The chip had more than one use and he quickly disconnected himself from the virtual world.

The mansion had finally stopped shaking and Gray nearly fell out of his chair as Augustus sat up suddenly, ripping off the virtual goggles and stood in a mild panic. He now towered above Gray, he looked down at him.

"Gray! Quick! we need to get to the arena, Charon is in danger from the chip in her arm, its a back up plan and now they've failed....we need to move NOW!"

He grabbed Gray and hauled him from the room, as they ran through the corridors, he grabbed Kali as she was running in the opposite direction, she already seemed to sense that something was wrong and they headed down to the garage where Charon kept all her favourite cars. He pointed to the far corner.

"We'll take the DBR9."

Gray squinted and looked over to the sleek black sports style Aston Martin that looked as though it had never left the garage. It wasn't until they reached the car he realised that it had a good few modifications, the bucket seats and racing seat belt harnesses gave him the first few clues. Gray looked at Augustus.

"I'll drive."

Augustus chuckled.

"No way! I can get us there in half the normal time."

Augustus unlocked the doors with the small remote on the keychain, Kali shrugged.

"He's a good driver."

Gray tilted his head.

"Does he drive anything like Charon?"

Kali grinned.

"Much better AND faster!"

Gray groaned and slipped into one of the rear bucket seats and tightened the harness until it bit into his skin. Kali sliped into the passenger seat which was on the left since the car hadn't been changed from its UK specifications, Gray noted that she didn't bother with even tightening the straps and Augustus didn't even put a belt on. He hit a button on the dash and the thing roared to life. Gray pulled out his cellphone and dialled Damiens number, he had downloaded all the info into his PDA and had realised quickly that the chip in Charons arm was programmed to activate automatically if Markus lost the match and he only knew one person with more research into cybernetics than himself and that was Charons father, Damien. He sent the info from the PDA to Damiens cell as Augustus shoved his foot onto the accelerator and the DBR9 screamed out of the garage, the thing was so damned fast they only just had enough space to get through the front gates and Gray closed his eyes as Augustus drifted the car round the winding country roads...
