Gray began running through the lines of code that he'd looked at a million times but he hadn't been looking for it the previous times, he'd only been looking for code to hack the mainframe. Kali had begun to run back and forth with the druids plugging pressure leaks and electrical bursts from numerous conduits. He saw it tucked away, it was piggybacking other code, hidden unless you were looking for it. Lillith was using the mainframe to access the virtual world but she was using a primary device to access everything else. If she too was some sort of bastardised cyborg being then it stood to reason she would require some form of life support system other than the mainframe.

Five minutes later Gray was in, he'd hacked in through a low level sub routine and he watched the reading on the screen. It was fascinating, Augustus was using what Gray termed as clean energy, yet Lillith had found a way to use what could only be termed as dark or dirty energy. Gray suddenly understood, not only was it a classic good versus evil fight but he realised it was Lilliths evil energy that was controlling Markus and who knew more about dark energy and evil than anyone else living or dead?

The answer was Mortismere and Fein Dacor. This whole charade was nothing more than an attempt to destroy two different balances in the World. Charon was the balance between night and day and Augustus was the true balance between good and evil.

"Kali! Keep this bucket going for a few more minutes at least. Mortismere is behind this and I know how Lillith is controlling Markus. Fucking brilliant!"

Gray tapped furiously at the keyboard getting further and further into Lilliths pod with every key stroke.

Meanwhile in the virtual world, Augustus stared beligerantly at Mortismere, he was no longer afraid of the demon crossdressing weirdo. Augustus re-traced himself in front of Mortismere and they stood nose to nose.

"It may have escaped your notice you fetid piece of crap that I'm no longer a child, you have no control over me and you never have nor will you...EVER!"

Augustus watched as Lillith seemed to grow to monstrous proportions but still he wasn't afraid. If he had to die to stop these crazy assholes then he would do just that. Mortismere sneered at him.

"Go fuck your mother you little shit!"

Augustus smiled and drew as much energy as he dared and began to realise he no longer needed it.

"Well I certainly wouldn't fuck your mother, god only knows what sort of messed up being would...oh hang on, it would probably look like you. Shame. Why don't you come out of the closet daddy and admit your gay?"

Mortismere's face twisted into one of pure anger and hatred.

"I AM NOT YOUR DADDY!"

Augustus chuckled.

"No, well you wouldn't be because first off you're impotent and secondly you're gay."

He stared defiantly at Mortismere who simply tried to punch him, the punch went straight through Augustus sending Morty reeling off balance with his back to him. Augustus placed his foot on Mortys backside and kicked hard sending him sprawling to the floor. Augsutus chuckled some more before a voice boomed throughout the virtual world bringing everyones attention back to Lillith. Augustus glared at her.

"Some mother you are, fancy spoiling your childs fun like that, you're such a bloody attention seeker!"

Lillith roared and even Mortismere put his hands over his ears.

Back at the mansion.

Grays fingers danced nimbly over the keys as Kali and the druids ran round dumping foam on small electrical fires that had broken out. The whole mansion was shaking right down to its foundations and as Gray was thrown round in his chair he placed the last few keystrokes into the computer and pressed the enter key. He watched as the malicious code piggybacked Lilliths life support program, he then turned his attention back to the virtual program and watched carefully...
