Moebius was thrown clear of the worst of the impact but was unconscious when the EMT's found him. Charon came racing round the corner, as she rounded it she saw Kizmats silhouette and without stopping picked up a metal baseball bat someone had left leaning against one of the walls. She jumped as she sprinted past him and almost took his head off with it and as she went past she made sure she took Richards bad leg out and then threw the metal baseball bat backwards catching the smug looking bastard in the teeth with it.

She reeled backwards as she came outside as the head and flames stopped her in her tracks. A sick feeling began to rise in her stomach as she feared the worst, she pushed her way through the crowd and nearly broke the arm of a fireman who tried to stop her getting through the incident line. She rounded the wreckage and could see the outline of Moebius lying on the floor close to the burning semi truck surrounded by EMT’s and fire department employee’s. She sprinted across the distance and skidded to a halt next to him.

Several people grabbed her and tried to pull her away but she wouldn’t budge, she looked into the face of the one man who she’d come to trust more than anyone else in the World. He was covered in blood and parts of his body were battered, bruised, blistered, broken and burned but he was still breathing. The EMT’s seemed to be more than a little surprised to find him alive but Charon grinned slightly.

“You are one tough bastard to kill Moebius.”

His chest heaved and a wheezy noise came from his mouth and it was a couple of seconds before she realised he was laughing. A paramedic from an air ambulance now pulled her up out of the way and this time she allowed herself to be moved so they could work on him.

“I swear I am going to find a way to kill both of those bastard monsters and then I’ll murder that fucker Sincentius as well.”

She looked round, she wasn’t sure what she was looking for but she knew she’d find it eventually.
