The night is young... let's go quote more horror movies!

TF: The same night as CreatureMania, following the conclusion of the Annihilation match.

It had been a hard-fought battle against Kizmat and Deadblood knew that he should be grateful to have come out of it one piece, let alone alive at all. It was now over though, he and Sheri headed down a hallway that led out of the arena to where the parking area was. Deadblood had certainly earned his share of injuries from the match, but he would live to fight another day. Another match down, but he had a feeling that the battle was far from over, that it wasn't the last time he and Kizmat would meet in the ring.

"Happy now?" Sheri asked as Deadblood pushed open one side of the double doors at the end of the hallway.

"About?" he responded, genuinely unsure of what she was talking about, letting the door close behind them.

"About fighting," she answered. "About getting back into it after being away for so long. Look, I know you didn't come out of it unscathed, but you put up quite a fight of your own."

He didn't argue with her there. He wasn't one to boast, at least not when it led to accomplishing nothing, but he felt that it was a time to celebrate. Time to celebrate his return and the fact that he managed to survive that Annihilation match. And they could celebrate in style too, a limo waiting for them that had been so generously provided to him for that event by Alexander Arcane. At least he hoped that Sheri would join him for a celebration. After all, she'd managed to save him several times out there.

"Yeah, I guess you could call it happiness," Deadblood finally replied. "It did feel good to be back out there again after being away for so long."

They continued walking, seeing the limo waiting up ahead, just outside of the arena's parking garage. If anything, his work with the company over the years had helped him become even more skilled in the ring. His time with the company had taught him a lot of things that he doubted he would have learned otherwise. Things that had proven to be quite useful to him during his many jobs for the company, keeping him alive and helping him achieve what he was being paid to do. Of course, he didn't think he'd ever been sent after someone quite like the Lord of Blood while working for the company.

"So, interested in heading to a bar with me?" he asked Sheri, looking over at her. She seemed unsure, so he then added, hoping to persuade her, "I'll buy."

In the distance, beyond where the limo sat, something else sat, or rather, stood, waiting. Waiting for them to be exact. Waiting with an unrivaled patience, knowing that they would be coming outside to the limo eventually. And now here they were, completely unaware of its presence. Feeling good about themselves considering the circumstances and yet completely unaware of what was in store for them. Of course, they both had known it would only be a matter of time too, before it came to the situation such as they were about to find themselves in.
