Deadblood (Absolute Undisputed Champion)
There's a power box. It'll activate the elevator down to fifty. From there on down you walk.
Pressing the call button for the elevator, both Deadblood and Sheri glanced nervously behind them, knowing that CP-ZERO wasn't far behind, that they only had probably a minute at most to get on the elevator before it would have them cornered. They could hear the hum inside the elevator shaft as the car slowly moved down to the second floor of the parking garage.
"Come on, dammit... ," Deadblood said, clearly growing impatient and worried, gripping his Desert Eagle tightly.
Sheri could tell that he was growing worried and that did nothing to ease her own fears. And then they both turned around to look when they heard the thud of those heavy footsteps again, slowly moving closer to them! CP-ZERO had managed to fully escape from its trap of rubble and vehicles. Reaching back with his free hand, Deadblood pressed the call button several more times, as if that would really help. The elevator car seemed to still be moving as slow as ever.
"Fuck, Deadblood. What the fuck are we going to do now?!" Sheri asked, quite worried herself now, as well as mad at him. "That thing is going to be here any second and we're not going to have anywhere to run from those bullets and rockets this time!"
Deadblood looked over at Sheri, but before he could respond, CP-ZERO rounded the corner of the short hallway that led to the elevator, immediately spotting both of them, raising its strange weapon once again!!! But then, there was the ding that signaled the arrival of the elevator car, the doors sliding open just as slowly as the rest of the elevator moved.
As soon as the doors were open just wide enough, Deadblood shouted, "Quick, get in there, now!"
Sheri did as Deadblood said without hesitation and he followed her inside, quickly pressing the button for the eighth floor of the parking garage, which was the roof level. Of course, there was a pause before the doors began to slowly close, seeming to close even slower than they opened. Deadblood was prepared to drop to the floor of the elevator as soon as CP-ZERO started shooting at them, but to his surprise, CP-ZERO didn't shoot, instead choosing to run at them!!!!!
Deadblood nor Sheri thought it had been able to run, but now, here it was proving them wrong. They both knew that they were dead if it managed to actually get inside the elevator with them, but the doors managed to slide shut just in time. That didn't stop CP-ZERO from pounding on the steels doors with its armored hands though, putting several dents in the door before the elevator slowly started going up, taking them away from CP-ZERO for a moment.
"Shit, that was close," Deadblood said, leaning against the back wall of the elevator, wondering just what they might be able to do to stop CP-ZERO.
"Too close," Sheri responded. "You really like the play with fire, don't you, champ? And to think, if I'd just carried out the contract I'd been given, I wouldn't be dealing with this at all right now. Thanks again!"
"Look," Deadblood started, "I really am sorry I got you in this mess, but we're going to be okay."
In an attempt to prove Deadblood wrong though, there was a sudden loud crash below them as CP-ZERO ripped the doors open on the second floor!!! Knowing it was about to be in the elevator shaft, Deadblood and Sheri tried to prepare themselves for anything. For a moment, there was nothing, the elevator car continuing to make its slow ascent up. It passed the fifth floor and continued on to the sixth. As it passed the sixth floor though, the whole elevator car shuddered violently!!!!! CP-ZERO had grabbed onto the bottom of the elevator!!!!!!!
"Oh fuck, what are we going to do?!" Sheri asked, panicking.
Deadblood, starting to panic too, reaching to press the button for the seventh floor, but it was too late, the elevator car already past it, just barely!!! The car was moving slower and slower, until it finally just stopped entirely, stuck somewhere between the seventh and eighth floors, able to hear CP-ZERO attempting to move around on the outside of the elevator.
"I'm not about to die in this fucking can!" Deadblood said, looking up at the ceiling of the elevator where a small hatch was. "Come on, I'll boost you up!"
Sheri moved towards Deadblood as he knelt down, successfully boosting her up to and through the hatch in the ceiling. Then leaping up himself, he managed to get a grip on the edges of the hatchway, pulling himself through it as well. Spotting a ladder nearby, he began to quickly climb it, Sheri following him, still able to hear CP-ZERO, but unable to see him yet.
The ladder leading to the doors of the eighth floor, Deadblood managed to quickly pry the doors open, allowing both of them to step out onto the roof of the parking garage, into the fresh, night air, the doors sliding closed again behind them. They both knew that it wasn't time to celebrate their escape though. CP-ZERO wasn't an idiot and would eventually be able to navigate its way up there with them.
However, Deadblood had an idea and said, "Let's put those powers of yours to good use and send this motherfucker on a one way ride down to hell!"
Sheri liked the sound of that idea and both of them began to focus that power on the elevator car, pushing on it, able to hear out there as the cables whined from the extra, invisible pressure being put on them, more pressure than they were ever meant to handle!!! Adding more pressure, the cables snapped right in half and then there was a grinding sound as the emergency brakes began to fail, before the elevator car began to plunge to the bottom of the elevator shaft, CP-ZERO still on the bottom of the car as it crashed into the bottom of the shaft, shaking the entire parking garage as a result!!!!!!!!! They didn't stop there either, pushing the power harder and ripping other things inside the elevator shaft free, sending ladders and steel beams crashing down onto the destroyed elevator car and whatever might be left of CP-ZERO!!!!!!!!!!!
When they finally stopped, they both had a slight headache as a result, catching their breath as they leaned against one wall. They waited a little while too. Waited to see if CP-ZERO was indeed finished or if it would try to come for them again. They heard nothing else that might be CP-ZERO though. No thudding footsteps. No rapidly fired bullets and missiles. Just the sound of sirens approaching the parking garage.
"Let's get out of here before we have to do any explaining," Deadblood finally said. "Still up for that drink?"
