Zombies, exploding heads, creepy-crawlies... and a date for the formal. This is classic, Spanky.

As they waited for the next round of drinks to arrive, Deadblood then said, "In a way, it's too bad that no one witnessed us actually fighting that thing in the parking garage."

"How do you mean?" Sheri asked. "I thought it was for the best that no one witnessed what happened. You said it yourself. We would have had to do some explaining if anyone came across us in the parking garage after we dropped the elevator on that thing."

"We would have," he answered, "but it would make anyone think twice before confronting us. I know I wasn't the one expected to win that match tonight, but had that thing come after us before hand and had anyone witnessed the way we dealt with it, I'm pretty sure most people would have had higher expectations for me."

"That's true," she said, pausing as the waitress brought them their fresh beers. Taking a sip from hers, Sheri then continued with, "Maybe that's a good thing though. Maybe it's good that your enemies don't know what to expect from you. I'd think that would help you in catching them off guard."

"Having you out there with me tonight definitely caught Kizmat off guard," Deadblood replied, sipping at his own beer. "I'd say he certainly didn't expect you to toy with him the way you did."

She let out a small laugh before saying, "I'm just glad I was able to actually be helpful out there. I still think you're crazy, but I must admit, it was fun giving him those little pushes. And I don't think anyone other than him suspected a thing until I was actually inside that structure."

"We'll have to make a habit out of you accompanying me to my matches," he responded. "In a way, you're the perfect valet. Sure, any valet can distract an opponent, but you can interfere in ways that most can't."

"Everyone saw me move those ring steps though," she said. "If I'm out there, they'll know who it is now if I try anything."

Shaking his head, he replied with, "No one has any proof that it was you who moved the steps. And that's just it. There's no way they can prove anything that might happen when you're out there."

They both continued drinking their beers as Sheri thought about what Deadblood had just said to her.
