Charon merely stared at Darkspade, she'd have stared a hole right through his soul but she wasn't so sure he still had one. She breathed in deeply and then let the breath out slowly in a thoughtful manner. She chewed the inside of her cheek while she considered what he was contemplating.


"Spade. I need to tell you something first because if we use my energy something odd may happen and I don't want you to panic and I would like you to trust me just a little bit more than you currently do."


Spade shifted in his chair, impatient but also mindful of how much trouble his impatience had caused him in the past.


"Okay."


He drew out the answer, unsure if he wanted to hear what she had to say. She wasn't going to give him the opportunity to back out though.


"Something odd has happened to my DNA, it maybe to do with what happened during my stay in the loony bin but its still mutating and changing to its new form. Now, the thing is that when we tried this out before using my energy it does have a habit of straying towards Mortismere as though one demon wants to go beat the shit out of the other demon. So be warned, it might be a bumpy ride."


Spade wasn't sure he beleived her but the comment about a bumpy ride, what the hell did that mean? She turned back to the computer and placed her hand on a glass object that looked like a miniature version of a flatbed scanner. She looked back at him for a second.


"Oh yeah and you'll have to hold on to me if you want to see what I see."


She grabbed him by the hand, he was too shocked to protest. The scanner hummed to life. Charon jolted as though she'd taken a shock, she was bolt upright in the chair for several seconds until there was a blipping noise. Her shoulders sagged slightly. Spade noticed that the room was becoming blurry and indistinct as though another room was coming into focus. He held Charons hand tightly, the sensation was extremely weird, he could actually hear what was going on, smell the room, even feel it to an extent. The room wavered and then dissolved slowly into another view, he felt slightly nauseous but tried to pull himself together to concentrate on what he needed to see.
