Charon took a deep breath.


"Its not busted. Its just a question of working out why it brought us here. I did tell you that using my energy might not be a particularly good idea."


Spade looked slightly pissed off.


"What aren't you telling me? From the look on your face you know F'ein Dacor, how the hell do you know who he is?"


Charon avoided the question altogether.


"Do you want to know what he's up to or not?"


Spade wasn't happy but curiousity was getting the better of him and he took Charons hand off his head.


"Once I've helped you with the Morty issue, I want you to come clean with me. I want to know what your connection with F'ein is?"


Charon looked up at the ceiling in thought.


"Okay. I probably won't have to tell you anyway once the Morty problem is solved, everything will become obvious in the end."


They followed the figure into the next room where he was pulling out files, some he had already incinerated. Charon watched fascinated, Spade moved as though he was going to go and stop F'ein. Charon grabbed him by the arm.


"No. I think I know what he's doing. He's looking for a connection between me and Creeper."


Spade stared at her, he couldn't be sure.


"Why destroy the records then? Surely he'd want to show them to Morty? Unless......"


He never finished the sentence, Charon had grabbed his hand and the room began to distort and waver. It felt like he was being sucked backwards through a giant vacuum cleaner, then they were looking through the giant fishtank like vision which swam, wavered for a second then settled onto a completely different scene. He noticed that Charon no longer seemed to be in control of the computer and hence seemed to have no control of where they ended up and they ended up in the corridor of Death Mansion but it was maybe sixteen, seventeen years previously. Charon was holding his hand so tightly he thought she might be in danger of breaking it and quite bizarrely, as they stood there, a seventeen year old Charon walked right past them and into the living room. Apparently summoned there by Damien Death, who they could see leaning against the fireplace.
