She must have passed out for a short while because the thunder sounded as though it was somehow coming audibly back into focus, that and she could taste a mixture of blood and grit. She tried to supress a cough, she was aware that someone was close by and that person was likely to be Gojinn.

She could almost feel the darkness coming off him in waves, it was time to step the game up to another level no matter how tired her own body felt. Gojinn stared hard at her, he'd heard the small cough and was waiting for the slightest twitch.

Charon totally relaxed her body and allowed all her senses to return, without opening her eyes she knew where Gojinn was squatting but there was also a part of his mind which had opened up, she couldn't be sure if he knew it was open as well.

The sky was now a nasty black colour and the rain was sheeting straight down, interspersed with loud cracks of thunder and lightning streaking across the sky, throwing the swimming pool into eerie releif. Charon had still not moved and technicians were in two minds as to whether they should pull the plug on the broadcast and get a paramedic, when a lightning bolt struck a nearby tree causing it to crash down near the pool edge.

Gojinn snapped out of his cold stare, this was the moment Charon had been waiting for. She placed her hands flat in the wet mud, pushed up slightly and swung her legs sideways, catching Gojinn off balance in his squatting position. She now resembled some sort of terrifying zombie from a horror movie, her face was white and blood was pouring from several different cuts on her head and face.

She had to hand it to him he was quick to recover, immediately making a kick for her midsection. She caught his leg with a hooking block, locking his foot under her arm pit. She stepped over the front of his leg making him flip over onto his stomach or rip all the ligaments from around his knee. She pulled up and then slammed his knee down as hard as she could onto the mosaic surface of the pool. His knee bounced and he rolled back over onto his back, his face contorted in pain and rage.

She slammed her foot into his groin making him roll away in more pain than he would ever admit to. She knew where every weapon in the pool was and she knew what she was going to do with every single one of them.

As she bent towards him he lashed out blindly and broke her nose but she was on automatic pilot and ignored it totally, it was like her mind was elsewhere. She could feel the warm blood trickling down her chin but she didn't care because she had a nice big handful of his hair and now she was going to drown the undeserving little whelp.

Yes, thats what he is, she thought. He was like the runt of the litter, he should be drowned, she'd be doing the world, no, the human race, no, no....the whole hybrid creature race a favour!

She hauled him along and every now and again she could feel him attacking parts of her body. Gojinn's thrashing became more panicked as they entered the growing body of water in the deep end of the pool. She was up to her knee's now in the pitch black, thats when she forced Gojinn's head under the water....
