Charon had never encountered Evangelion before but it wasn't fear that caused her to back off. She knew technology, she'd once been head of the Technomancy Department at the Syndicate and what she saw in Evangelion was the culmination of many technologies she had only ever seen as theory.

She paused. She needed time to think through the most effective strategy and her most effective strategy now was to stay back out of Evangelion's way to prevent it carrying through its attack and defence programs on her. In fact, she was probably the only one who realised exactly how much in the sh*t they really were.

She allowed Amethyst and Gojinn to continue to battle and that was all well and fine now, but as more superstars entered it was going to be difficult to keep track of all the action and flying bodies. She made a very difficult decision, self preservation was now her only real objective and if that meant making sure she was eliminated then - good.

Evangelion was dangerous, she skirted around behind the machine and made sure that the behemoth didn't lock onto her when it righted itself. Amethyst was probably making the biggest mistake of his life actually thinking he could take out the machine. Charon was now torn between warning Gojinn to stay out of the machines way or letting him continue.

Meanwhile, Evangelion righted itself and locked itself onto destroying Amethyst. Charon despite her hatred of Gojinn, warned him to stay out of the damned way and let the thing destroy Amethyst. At that point she considered eliminating herself...
