Since we've about run out of good quotes from 2, I'm going with . . . Grandpa's nothing but a crazy old fool!

Deadblood looked down at Sheri's unconscious body, contemplating what to do now. There was the obvious choice: taking Sheri's head off while she was defenseless. He was seriously considering it. He could kill her and simply walk away. Eventually, the next day probably, the restaurant's manager would discover Sheri's cold, lifeless body when they went into the commissary to restock the restaurant's kitchen for the day.

He didn't though. Instead, he simply firmly placed the tip of the katana's sharp blade at Sheri's throat and waited. Waited for her to regain consciousness and see just how cornered she was. Sure, she could try using her powers to wrench the katana out of his hands again, but she would be putting herself at great risk then. Even the slightest flick of his wrist could slice her throat wide open.

Did he still plan to kill her when she woke up? At that point, he wasn't really sure. He was hoping to have a chance to speak with her before she forced his hand to end her. He had some things to say to her, a proposition to be exact, but it was entirely up to her if she wished to listen or not. He wasn't going to force her to do that, but he also wasn't going to draw their fight out any longer. She could either listen or she could die. It was that simple.

When Sheri did finally come around, she groaned, trying to move a hand to the back of her head where it'd hit the floor, but she quickly realized that she couldn't lift her head to do so, feeling a sharp poke at the front of her throat when she did try. Her eyes opening wide, she stared up at Deadblood, seeming to be fully aware of the fact that she was trapped and that struggling would only make the situation worse for her.

"I'm glad that fall doesn't seem to have caused any permanent damage," Deadblood said, staring right back down at her, using her power to press down on her throat slightly, both for added measure and to make sure he had her full attention. "Listen up, because there won't be any waking up from what I'll do next!"

Sheri couldn't nod or do anything else to indicate that she was listening and he knew it. He didn't continue speaking though, not right away. He increased the pressure on her throat with that invisible force before relaxing it, keeping the katana at her throat still.

"You and I, we're not so different. We both do similar work. We both can handle ourselves in a fight. And . . . we both like to be in control! You know how I know that last thing about you? The fact that you were willing to fight me tonight. You were mad that I didn't do what you wanted and you decided to try to take control of the situation. So what do you say? Can you hold back on your urge to kill me long enough to hear me out? Because I do believe you'll like what I have to say."

Deadblood finally moved the tip of the blade away from Sheri's throat, only by a couple inches, to see how she'd react, it she was willing to cooperate or if she was going to force his hand.
