Red Spyder (Guardian of Wickedness)
Let's just hope we can agree on what are priorities and what aren't...
"You've got my attention, Mr. Dacor." As Red spoke, he reached a hand towards Mortis, giving him a gesture to show just how he felt about Mortis at that moment. "I believe I've already proven that I can do far more than just keep the Dark Queen entertained."
Mortis snarled at Red's one-finger salute, attempting to lunge at the Guardian of Wickedness. Markus managed to hold Mortis back.
"This isn't the time or place." Markus spoke low in Mortis' ear to prevent Red or F'ein from hearing his words. "I know you don't want to do anything that could jeopardize everything we've worked so hard for."
"Your interest in our plans delights me, Red. Someone with that kind of interest combined with your unique skills is exactly what the Army of Her Royale Darkness needs if we expect to succeed in our plans. Acting like children will get us nowhere." F'ein eyed Mortis, who huffed before turning away from Red, grumbling something about how everyone has their weaknesses. "But perhaps this tension among each other is a good thing. For when it comes time to strike, this built up frustration will aid us in crushing our enemies."
Red raised an eyebrow at this, as did Mortis, turning his head to look back at F'ein.
"I like the way you think." Red smiled at the thoughts of what the Army of Her Royale Darkness would be capable of destroying. "Just tell me when and where you want me to lead this Army and I'll ensure their victory."
"What makes you think you're leading jack shit?" Mortis turned back around fully and stepped closer to Red. "You might know how to entertain the Dark Queen and you might have even been able to provide her with the bodies she needed for her rejuvenation. But I haven't seen you do anything that proves you're at all capable of accomplishing something on the level of importance as this!"
"This is what I mean." F'ein remained calm despite the steady increase in tension between Mortismere and Red Spyder. "Now Red, I admire your willingness to be a leader for us. However, I think there's quite a few things we need to discuss and I'm sure you have your fair share of questions..."
For the time being, Red and Mortis backed off from each other. They instead waited for F'ein to continue, Red in particular listening closely. They also managed to ignore the even louder sound of horns that rattled a nearby window.
