Charon was as close to unconsciousness as you could be without actually being out cold, in fact, she was really running on autopilot. Her body was slowly shutting down non essential functions, one of them being consciousness but she fought that with every ounce of strength she had left, most of that was mental though and she somehow dragged herself upright albeit hanging tightly to what was left of the mesh sides of the cage. Dylious was moving now but far more slowly than he had been previously, Charon was trying to get oxygen into her body without aggravating the punctured lung too much and fans stared in morbid fascination at areas of her body which shone a dull metallic colour where the flesh had been pulled away completely revealing the cybernetics which still remained throughout her entire body.

She knew it was likely that she'd survived the match for so long due to the underlying network of metal even though it no longer functioned but it still provided a layer of protection that most didn't have and now she watched as Dylious turned round to face her an evil grin spread across his pale face. He was about to make a run at her when the lights in the arena flickered, Charon frowned, she felt the temperature drop, although she didn't realise how much it dropped until she could see her breath billowing out in front of her. She continued to hold tightly to the mesh sides as weird noises seemed to float round her until they seemed like they were inside her head whispering things she couldn't quite make out. Now totally disorientated, Charon slid to the canvas and sat uncomfortably trying to make sense of what was happening now.

She looked over at Dylious, she could have sworn he seemed to be frozen in time along with everything and everyone around her, she realised she was the only one who appeared able to move as a dark figure appeared high up in the stands and even though she couldn't see his face she knew he was amused, she also knew the Knight of Darkness when she saw him. Despite her condition she found herself laughing and she shook her head to try and clear it.

"I should have known....."

The cold, dead air seemed to swirl around her, she knew that feeling of dread and she waited.....
