Mortis was bashing his head against the stone columns in this castle of premonitions-- each and every single trickle of time that passed away has eaten away at all three. The absence of their powers, scarified, payed it's toll on them... for chaos took it's place.
As Charon watched Mortismere and Spade coming unglued- she tried to composure herself... unwilling to give in to the appending fate. What was taking Angel and Kizmat so long to open the Gates.... there had to been something afoot. Charon stood up from the black chair she was sitting and observing the two nuts in the room-- and walked over to the crackled window which upon it's broken exit came forth a wormhole into the land of the living.
Charon gripped her locket which was her mothers. This locket- an artifact of the Death Family-- held significant memories and a powerful magic... a magic Charon was still figuring out... but somehow, some why this locket was the conduit to the living world and thusly can span across the sea of time and space; infinite.
She raised the locket up and with it's shine it illuminated through the crack in the window; now bombarded by black rain; and it shot through all voids.... hoping and praying that someone could find it... guided by it's light... in hopes that Angel and Kizmat could find their way to her and father.
Back from once we came.... The Prison of Despair.
The chained figure looked about- to see if a key or some tool could be used to open the double doors. The light that he saw before was the only hope this reality produced... betwixt and between the unknown and known.
Suddenly- for there was a sound heard. A loud sound.... the perspective changes from behind the chained figure and down close to the ground so that the chains dangling from his limbs were foreshortened. The man opened up his bag and struck a match from a lonely matchbox... and pressed forward into the dark hallway where this sound resonated from.... it was in this darkness that at each corner, at each corridor, at each passing array of paths- that ghostly faces of victims were shown... staring a hole through whatever would be a soul inside of that cold frame.... but the man had no noticeable emotional feeling of remorse... and pressed on... pressed on.
Until. Stopping- the chained man sees a shadow in the distance reflected from the only source of faint light in the prison block.... Making a mad rush- the chained man proceeds and chases the shadow until the chained man exits out into the courtyard of the prison.... there. Hunched back. And resting one elbow on it's knee was a dark black figure enveloped in a myst of hatred and demise..... "He" stands up and approaches the chained man- for at the same time the perspective changes as a bird's eye view and encircles the two from high above into the air.
The view now changes to that of a double-shot including the two - "He" raises his right hand and then slowly turns it around to reveal a rusted key.... presumingly the key to the double doors. But when the chained man tried to reach for it- he couldn't. For the chains were now, somehow, magically attached to the cemented ground.
"Who are you" - saying the man in chains.
.... Silence. Until high above, an eclipse overtook the atmosphere and "He" simply said, in his most omnipotent and crackling voice:
"My name echos with the untainted will of man and creaturekind. I have been known by many names, ol' man bound by sins- Beknown before I reveal who I am- that I have all but seen and witnessed all - past, present and future. You will never be resolvent - with me, we tear those chains and WRAP THEM AROUND YOUR ENEMIES AND THE UNRIGHTEOUSNESS..."
