You're huntin' it, ain't ya? Yeah, you're huntin' it alright. Just like me.
Sheri gently kicked aside an empty, cardboard beer box out of her way at the top of the stairs. The building was as dirty as you'd expect an abandoned building to be, but it would serve her purposes just fine.
With the police scanner continuing to run, still nothing of interest happening, she played with the visor's different vision modes further, particular infrared. She moved along the rooftop, focusing on different areas with the helmet. She could imagine the usefulness it could provide in the future. The helmets certainly would have been nice to have when they were in the sewer under the hotel with the robot and Gojinn.
When she was near the edge of one side of the roof, something odd suddenly appeared in her view. She quickly turned the dial back to normal and realized it was the hook of Deadblood's grapple gun. Peering over, she saw him hanging just below the edge, struggling to climb the rest of the way up.
"Deadblood! Do you need help?" Sheri was glad the helmet hid her face as she struggled to not laugh again.
"No, just get out of the way! I can get myself up there!" DB held on tightly to the grapple gun, his feet kicking and sliding against the brick wall as he struggled to climb.
She shrugged and stepped back, grinning underneath the helmet as he groaned and grunted, finally managing to roll up over the wall and onto the roof about a minute later.
He had the catch his breath before sitting up. "Want to try it now? It's a lot of fun."
She shook her head. "No, that's okay. I'm having plenty fun right now."
Getting to his feet, he looked around at the rooftop himself. "Hmm, this will be perfect."
Walking across the roof, he started picking up several of the beer cans and bottles that littered the area before lining them up on the same edge of the roof he'd struggled to make it over before. Drawing his new pair of revolvers, he quickly fired three shots from each, striking six of the eight targets.
"See if you can hit those last two." He holstered the twin revolvers and waited to see what she'd do to the two remaining bottles.
She looked at him before looking at the bottles and a second later, they exploded, not from any bullets but from an invisible force. It was his turn to look at her.
