Spade dragged himself back up after being sent through the tombstone. Stumbling through the now muddy room of the third chamber, he peered down into the watery chamber below. He knew that Red was already down there. Not because he'd seen Red crawl to the hatch, but because he could see that a couple of the corpses were already ripped open, their juices and organs floating through the green water, coloring it a sickly brown. Red worked fast for a one-armed man, not that Spade was really surprised.
Taking a deep breath, Spade proceeded to jump into the murky water himself with a splash. Once in the water, he realized how much more difficult this chamber would be than the previous three, due to the limited vision in the water, not helped by the remains of the mutilated corpses turning the water even darker.
Spade wasn't even sure where Red was in the water at that moment, though he knew that it likely wouldn't be long before they encountered one another. Swimming towards an undisturbed corpse, the Unholy One grabbed at its chest, first tearing off the rag that had once been the corpse's shirt before tearing through the soft, slimy flesh with his fingers. Once he'd made a hole, he began tugging out the equally slimy organs, making the water browner, making it more difficult to see if there even was a key or not. When he was pretty sure there wasn't one hidden in its midsection, he reached up to examine its mouth, but as soon as he started to touch its mouth, its entire rotten jaw snapped off. No key there either.
Swimming up to the top of the chamber, Spade grabbed a quick breath of air before heading back down and that's when he spotted Red, ripping open a corpse with a slightly rusted hook he'd removed from one of the chains. Reaching into the corpse after ramming the hook into its head, he pulled out what Spade instantly recognized as the key to the final chamber!!! Swimming towards Red, Spade grabbed a nearby, unoccupied chain before wrapping it right around Red's neck, pulling it tight, hoping that the chain choking him and lack of air underwater would be enough to suffocate the Guardian of Wickedness!!!!!!!!!!
Red instantly began to flail, being forced to drop the key, which Spade could only watch fall to the floor of the chamber, disappearing on the floor amongst some of the pieces of the corpses which had settled to the bottom already!!!!!! Spade pulled harder on the chain as Red reached his right hand up to the chain, trying to bring some separation between the chain and his throat!!!!! When that failed, he proceeded to reach for the hook, ripping it from the corpse's head, pieces of brittle skull going everywhere, before swinging the hook back and sinking it deep into the upper part of Spade's right leg!!!!!!!!!!!! Spade let out a muffled scream, releasing the chain when Red began to drag the hook down Spade's leg, leaving a deep tear in his flesh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Spade quickly swam back up to the top of the chamber, both to get another breath of air and to get away from Red, who struggled to get the chain off of his neck with his only hand. Once it was removed however, he swam up after Spade and like a shark attacking a human in the ocean, attacked Spade's leg further, but instead of using razor-sharp teeth to bite into Spade's leg, he jammed the hook into Spade's ankle, the sharp tip easily ripping into his boot to pierce his flesh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Spade let out another scream of pain, this one much more audible, before swimming back down into the water, hook still in his ankle, again to get away from Red as he was just a sitting duck on top of the water. Red quickly got a breath of air himself before attempting to chase after Spade, though thanks to the dirty water, he'd already lost sight of the Unholy One. Spade himself swum to the bottom of the chamber, where he discovered not the fallen key, though he did try to glance around for any sign of it, but an old harpoon gun, already loaded with a spear!!!!!!!!
