TF: In between End of Days, Acts IV and V and the 04/09/2016 CW is MAD.
“Cedric, there is something I have to tell you...” Marcia’s tongue caressed her lower lip nervously, as she crossed her arms over the bump in her dress.
“I already know Marcia. I’ve known for a while now,” He replied as her face fell.
“It can’t be mine. The accident left me sterile.” Marcia began to sob as Cedric shook his head.
“Cedric, I didn’t mean to decieve you. It’s just that everytime I think back to that terrible night I kept telling myself that it wasn’t real, that it was all just a terrible nightmare that I’d wake up from soon.”
“It doesn’t matter, Marcia. I love you, and I always will...”
“Maybe you shouldn’t,” She demured, looking down. Violin music welled high in the background, as the camera pulled in for a close up of Marcia’s eyes beginning to tear up. “How could you say that knowing that I’m carrying your dead brother’s baby?”
Sheri rolled her eyes, but didn’t bother to change the channel. Not just yet anyway. She’d taken advantage of Deadblood’s absence to binge watch Lifetime, and for once she was starting to see just why he groaned whenever she insisted on watching yet another movie of the week.
Where the hell was he, anyway? While it wasn’t totally unlike Deadblood to step out for a bit, she hadn’t spoken to him at all since lunch on Thursday and it was now well into Friday evening.
She was starting to worry a bit, but decided to let it go until morning. Maybe something had come up and time had gotten away from him. Even with her jealous streak he’d never done anything that had made her view him with suspicion. Deadblood had always been good to her as far as that aspect of their relationship went.
It wasn’t like he was out canooding with that whore Staph or anything for god’s sake. Still, there was a small part of her that wondered if maybe he hadn’t run into some ring rat who might find the idea of seducing the Undisputed Mortal Wrestling Champion irresistible. Those women were out there, after all. She’d seen them out in the crowd before, holding ridiculous signs proclaiming their love for whoever had striken their fancy that week.
No, that wasn’t Deadblood’s way. He wouldn’t waste time on trash like that. Maybe a bartender with a suggestive smile that promised great service in more ways than one...
Sheri frowned, the possibilities swimming in her mind. It wasn’t something she’d ever really thought about to any real extent, but here, alone her imagination began to run wild. She reached for her cell, not really expecting to see any reply to the very dirty and equally antagonistic text she’d sent earlier but hoping anyway. Nothing.
“If that jerk thinks he’s going to come dragging in at 2 in the morning expecting to get lucky, he’s got another thing coming,” Sheri muttered, reaching for another handful of popcorn, brushing those nagging thoughts away for the moment. Part of her knew she was being ridiculous sitting here and contemplating Deadblood in various torrid affairs, and she felt somewhat foolish for it. It wasn’t going to do her any good to sit up all night stewing over imaginary women anyway, in fact, she was considering calling it an early evening as soon as this went off. If he didn’t turn up by morning, she’d start looking for him then.
On the screen in front of her Marcia continued to weep over the plight of the baby that had been fathered by Cedric’s dead, schizophrenic rapist brother.
Behind her, in the window that faced out into their backyard, gleamed two cold eyes, content with merely watching and waiting for the time being.
