Ooooh, I'm a happy camper, I love the clear blue sky, and with the grace of God, I'll camp until I die!

Deadblood and Sheri looked on in horror as the cyborgs began to emerge out of the building and slowly advance towards them. Backing away from the carnage infront of them, Deadblood’s hand went to the trigger of the LAD, just as CA-0024 and CA-0025 both dropped down from the roof, landing scarcely a few feet away from them at point blank range. Leveling the LAD upon the two, Deadblood pulled the trigger, sending a blast straight through both cyborgs with a deafening crash.

Although he was sorely tempted to repeat the blast, Wang’s warning came to mind, and he stashed the LAD for the moment.

“Come on, Sheri. We can do this,” He said tightly, reaching for his desert eagle to use instead for the moment. Sheri nodded, tearing her eyes from the slaughtered lamb and Red’s remains, settling on the nearest cyborg approaching from the right.

Giving a quick mental tug to a nearby thick metal post, she ripped it from the ground and sent it flying into the cyborgs head with everything she had. A loud crack issued out as the post made contact, splintering the armored visor encasing the cyborg’s head. It continued to advance, as if unfaced when she again leveled her steely gaze onto it. The cracked visor began to pull away from it’s head, aided by Sheri’s special talent, slowly exposing dead white flesh. The pole rose up again, and gave another swing, caving it’s skull in, pulping it’s brain. The cyborg crumpled, falling to the ground in a twitching heap.

A hail of gunfire broke out, sending both Deadblood and Sheri scrambling for cover behind the mess hall.

“What are we going to do?” She whispered, still in shock from the sheer numbers of cyborgs that had emerged from the depths of the camp.

“We fight. They are tough, but not indestructable. Go after their armor. I’ll cover you, and if we need, there is always the LAD.” Deadblood replied. It seemed as solid as any other plan at the moment, she had to admit.

“Let’s get the fuck away from here, then. They’re all bunched up and if you want me to get that armor off I’ll need to concentrate.” She replied, starting off down towards the archery range. The gunfire had ceased, somewhat disconcertingly. Sheri wasn’t sure what was worse, having the cyborgs after them guns ablazing, or silently stalking. Deadblood followed, the LAD 18000 still close at hand should he need it.

A cyborg stepped out directly in front of them, sending a grappling wire out narrowly missing Sheri’s neck and instead wrapping around her left arm. Sheri jerked back, the wire already digging in tightly, blood welling up around it. Deadblood swore, holstering the LAD and grabbing for his katana instead. Sheri was too close to the cyborg to risk using it, Sheri flailed, giving a desperate mental yank to the chest piece of the cyborg, before Deadblood felt the temperature around him began to rise drastically.

Deadblood swung the katana, severing the wire and freeing Sheri, who gave another hard yank at the cyborgs chest piece, loosening it but not quite pulling it free.

“Oh goddammit! Why don’t you die?” She shouted, fire suddenly engulfing the cyborg much as it had Red during their last encounter. The metal armor began to glow cherry red, and realizing his chance Deadblood struck out with the katana again, shattering the weakened metal. Sheri gave another jerk, sending the unprotected neck of the cyborg wrenching sharply to the left, breaking it.

Sheri took a deep breath, trying to steady herself.

“You all right? Headache?” Deadblood asked worriedly. Sheri shook her head.

“No. I just don’t want to lose control.” She replied, as they made their way around the smoldering remains of the cyborg. “I didn’t mean to do that.”

“Look on the bright side. That was much more controlled than the last time,” He’d filled her in on the night at the school, and she had to admit it was true. “You only got the cyborg. Not the trees, not the buildings. I’d say that’s pretty damn controlled.”

“I still didn’t mean to do it.” Came her terse reply, and Deadblood let it go for now. The archery range loomed ahead, and sensing an opportunity to cause some damage, they made their way to the storage area.

No sooner had they approached however, then gunfire started up again. The cyborgs were smart enough to realize that any area housing potential weaponery would be best to keep a close eye on, and sure enough three cyborgs revealed themselves from the shadows. Sheri instantly sent a hail of arrows flying, striking one with a terrible force. Some bounced off harmlessly, while others struck true, catching in joints and creating a weak point for her to begin mentally cracking the armor like a nut. Deciding to take the direct route, Deadblood grabbed for the LAD and fired on the second, taking it’s head clean off with the force of the plasma ball.

Sheri began to tug even harder at the armor, splintering the chest plate and then sen it flying backwards onto a target. Again she gathered up more arrows and sent them straight through the exposed chest of the cyborg, impaling it. The third cyborg had disspeared for the moment, retreating into the darkness.
