Sheri shot Deadblood a look as Rose reminisced about Red Spyder, quirking an eyebrow. Apparently she found him unforgettable, although not in the way any sane woman would. Instead of looking back in horror at a dark, frightening time in the past, she seemed to be thinking about other, more satifying aspects to the man.
"Mmm, if nothing else, he knew what I liked and how I liked it," Rose said with a wink to Sheri. "So thick and strong..."
Deadblood looked disgusted. He didn't need to hear any details about Red Spyder's sex life, especially not from some horned up ex.
“He was following you, all the way from the gym,” Sheri started, motioning around the corner. “He darted off into that alley when you went up to the apartment gate.”
Deadblood’s sensibilities were further assualted as he noticed a small smile playing around Rose’s lips as she digested this bit of information.
"Are you sure?" Rose asked, her smile broadening. Gone was the initial annoyance at the mere mention of Red's name. "I wonder why he doesn't just come up to me. Maybe he could come upstairs and we could... talk."
"What?" Deadblood said and it was all he managed at the thought of anyone willingly wanting Red near them, especially in their residence.
“Are you serious? You’d actually want to have him up?” Sheri was equally shocked that anyone would consider willingly entertaining Red for an evening. While she couldn’t remember her encounter with him at the school, Deadblood had filled her in enough that she realized how close she’d come to dodging a bullet.
"Sure, why not?" Rose said, her eyes seeming to lose focus on Deadblood and Sheri as who knew what kind of thoughts of her and Red together bubbled to the surface of her mind. "Our break-up wasn't pretty, but I'd be willing to give him another shot. Even if it's nothing longterm, I'm certain he'd give me something to remember him by..."
"A slit throat?" Deadblood asked, not that Rose seemed to hear him as she drifted further away.
Sheri made a face, recognizing that look all too well.
“Come on, Deadblood. She obviously has no issue running into him tonight, but as long as he’s out there no one is safe. Who knows, he might even know she’s looney and he just led us here as some kind of fucking joke while he’s slipped off to carve up another hooker.”
Maybe you're right," Deadblood said, watching as Rose turned away from them and wandered into her apartment building. He was pretty sure she was muttering something about 'gape' and 'mushroom tattoos'.
"If he doesn't visit her tonight, she's going to have a lot of fapping to do," Sheri said, shaking her head at Rose's behavior and her ignorance towards the danger of Red.
"Ugh, enough!" Deadblood said. "Let's get out of here. We're going about this all wrong I think."
"I already told you that!" she said as they made their way back to the rental car.
"I wonder what Red's girlfriend or whoever she is would think of Rose," Deadblood said.
"Wait... you're telling me he has some OTHER girl interested in him?" Sheri shot him a look of shock, unable to fathom the thought.
"It was that girl who fucked Lilith to death with the severed penis," Deadblood said. "I think the baby was theirs."
"I guess that explains a lot, Champ." Sheri replied in a voice oozing with sarcasm as she rolled her eyes, wondering if it were even true. Deadblood must take her for an even bigger idiot than Rose if he thought she'd believe ridiculous things like someone being fucked to death with a severed penis, or Red Spyder not only having a willing girlfriend, let alone a baby. Could Scrivens have been somewhat truthful with her?
