Get out of here, you bastard! I'll burn you up! I'll fry you!
“Sheri, what the fuck are you doing? Get down!” Deadblood shouted as Red got to his feet, immediately sending another burst of Wickedness his way. He narrowly managed to roll out of it’s path before it connected with another row of bookcases sending scorched paper and bits of wood flying like confetti.
Sheri didn’t respond, her gaze still fixed on Deadblood. If Red noticed her at all he wasn’t paying attention, revving his chainsaw up and charging at Deadblood who was scrambling to his feet and out of it’s path.
“Go on and run!” Red laughed, swinging the saw manically. “It’ll be fun to see how far you can get with one fucking leg!” Deadblood dove out of the way, rolling over the top of a desk to avoid the swinging blade. He drew the shotgun again, sending another blast towards Red, catching the saw and knocking it off course. The sudden impact sent the heavy blade swinging down to connect with Red’s left foot where it chewed into his boot and into his toes.
“OH GODDAMMIT!” He swore, turning his attention to his ruined boot for just long enough for Deadblood to make a break for the doorway. “How the fuck can I walk around in this now?!”
Deadblood paused just long enough at the door to grab Sheri, dragging her out and down the corridor wih him. He knew that despite his preoccupation with his ruined foot and boot, Red wouldn’t be too far behind them. Darting through the first open door he saw, he yanked Sheri into what appeared to have once been a cafeteria.
“Sheri, you’ve got to snap out of it! Come on, I need you here with me, now!” He hissed, giving her a firm shake. “Sheri!”
“Sherrrrrrrri!” Red mocked, his unhinged laughter ringing down the hall, drawing closer. “What’s wrong, trouble in paradise? Don’t worry, it’s no real loss sweetie! He’s half the man I am, or he will be soon enough anyway!”
Deadblood swore under his breath, jerking her over to the lunch counter and shoving her behind it for cover, as he reloaded his shotgun. Red had started up again with the chainsaw, the sound echoing down the tiled halls with a deafening squeal.
He ducked down, turning his back to her as he trained the shotgun on the door waiting for Red to come through. He began to sweat, although whether it was from stress or the fact that the room was beginning to feel uncomfortably warm.
“You can come out, or I can come in. Either way it’s about to get real messy in here, so I hope you wore your boots!” The door burst open, Red swinging the saw with one hand almost playfully.
Drawing a bead on the maniac’s head, he took a deep breath and pulled the trigger, just as the cash register came slamming down on his head. The shotgun blasted up into the doorframe, narrowly missing it’s intended target as Deadblood lay dazed on the ground, staring up at Sheri who stared down at him blankly.
“Sheri... what... why?” Deadblood groaned, his head feeling like it was about to split.
“Why? Why do you think, Champ? Because you are a fucking piece of shit who thought you could use me as you saw fit. I have news for you though. I’m not your fucking tool.” She replied, eyes blazing furiously.
His head swimming with pain and confusion, the last thing that came to his mind before losing consciousness was that it was suddenly unbearably hot in here.
Propped up in the doorway enjoying the show, Red gave a slow clap. “I guess I was right! Well, I’m right here when you’re done with him, sweetheart!” Red laughed, amused at this unexpected turn of events.
Sheri turned away from Deadblood and stood up to face him, staring blankly ahead as several tables burst into flames around her. Red only laughed harder, motioning towards the burning tables.
“I guess someone has a temper, huh? What did he do to make you so mad anyway, bang some nasty cooze backstage? If you want to clock him with a register again, go for it but I can think of other ways you could pay him back and I’d be more than glad to help you out with that!”
She didn’t respond as several more tables began to blaze up, scorching the walls around them. Growing impatient, Red stepped forward, dropping a hand to unzip his fly and release the monster beef.
“Let’s go ahead and get this party started. If you want we can prop him up to watch, if he manages to come to before this whole place goes up in flames. Think of how exciting it’ll be! Fucking a crazy bitch in a burning building in front of her soon to be dead boyfriend. Or ex-boyfriend, I guess. Whatever, this is turning out out to be the highlight of my evening!”
He continued to advance towards her, grinning and stroking himself when the two tables across from him blazed higher, and a wall of flames suddenly engulfed him from head to toe.
