Pretty sure I've just crossed over into the Twilight Zone.
TF: In between the 04/09/2016 CW is MAD and CreatureMania 13: Broken Futures.
When Deadblood came home that evening, the last thing he expected was to find Sheri waiting for him. Ever since he'd returned from battling Lilith, she'd been missing. He'd searched for her of course, tried to call her cell phone numerous times. But she seemed to have simply vanished into thin air. At the house, the only sign that something was wrong was that the TV was on and none of her belongings including her purse seemed to be missing.
The police wondered if she'd simply run off with someone else and after several days of no evidence to prove otherwise, he'd started to wonder the same thing.
What made her sudden reappearance even stranger was how she was staring out of a window in the kitchen into the backyard, the house dark with the sun down and no lights inside the house on.
"Sheri?" DB said, stepping into the kitchen. She didn't seem to even hear him, though she finally looked at him when he turned on the light. "Are you okay? Where have you been?"
"Oh, you're back I see," she said, no smile for him, no hug, no kiss, no emotion. "I was going to make dinner soon. I guess I could make something for you."
"Yeah, that would be great," he said, stepping closer to her. "But where have you been? I reported you missing to the police."
"I don't know," she said, looking out the window again. "I guess I just needed to get away for a few days and forgot to leave a note."
"Well, that's fine," he said, more glad to have her back than anything at that moment. "I just wish you would have answered my calls."
"Sorry, I think lost my phone," she said, finally turning around to face him fully and stepping forward to give him a hug.
"I don't know where you've been, but you must have been hitting a gym," he said, able to feel that her body was far more toned than he remembered it being when he last touched her.
"What have you been up to?" she asked, stepping back from him and giving him a small smile before opening the fridge to find something to cook.
"You won't believe what I had to deal with," he said, taking a seat on a stool at the counter. "I went to retrieve MY Absolute belt, right? First Arcane made me fight this samurai thing that nearly crushed me and then Charon shows up and takes the belt through some kind of portal. Darkspade, Kizmat, and I end up going after her and find ourselves at this castle and after we get in there, we go through another portal to some other place. Some crazy vagina monster bitch was apparently trying to bring about the apocalypse there and after a while of struggling with her, some girl I didn't know tied a severed penis to her waist and fucked her to death. It was just insane. You must have seen the moon turn blood red."
"Uh huh..." Sheri said, still looking inside the fridge.
