Dinner is pre-PARED!

Sheri scowled as Deadblood brushed past her to pull a couple of beers from the fridge for Red and himself.

“I still can’t believe you asked him over for dinner, Deadblood.” She muttered, pulling the baked chicken and rice casserole from the oven and setting it to the side while she went about getting a salad put together.

“Look, I know you don’t care for him. I don’t either. But if we have to play nice to take down Scrivens, wouldn’t you say it was worth it?” Deadblood said pointedly. Sheri had to admit he was right, but that didn’t mean she had forgotten any of the fucked up things she’d seen him do.

“Fine. But I swear, he pulls that chainsaw out even once in my house, and it’s doing to get downright fucking toasty in here, Champ. And don’t you dare let him go anywhere near my panty drawer.” Deadblood simply nodded as he went on to the living room to sit down with Red for a pre-dinner drink.

Sheri turned her attention back to the casserole, seething. While she could see the wisdom in teaming up with Red from a tactical standpoint, she still loathed the man and didn’t want him in her house or even near her for that matter. She thankfully had no memory of their interaction at the school beyond what Deadblood had told her, but she still remembered their exchange at Creaturemania.

“Whoever came up with that whole ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend’ shit clearly never had to deal with Red Fuckin’ Spyder.” She said under her breath, grabbing the salad bowl and bringing it over to the kitchen table to serve it up.

“Dinner’s done!” She shouted, as Deadblood and Red made their way to the kitchen.

“What, no meatloaf?” Red asked as he looked over the chicken casserole. Sheri narrowed her eyes in response, practically biting her tongue to avoid firing back with something caustic.

"Her casserole is good too," Deadblood pointed out, motioning for Sheri to sit down, praying she wouldn't lose her temper and go after their guest. "Most of her food is really. You want another beer to go with that?"

"Yeah sure. And I didn't say it was bad. It was pretty good even though it was cold." Red amended, as Sheri softened slightly and took a seat.
