"You know, I'm thinking that since I'm THE Undisputed Mortal Wrestling Champion, maybe you need to do the mowing too." Deadblood smirked at the snarl he received from Sheri. "I mean, it'd be a shame if I lost all because a day of mowing wore me out and prevented me from defending my Championship at my fullest capabilities."
Sheri shrugged and took a bite of waffle. "Okay, I'll mow. You can cook, clean, and maintain the rest of the house like I currently do. I'd love to have just one chore that only needs to be done once a week, if not less often than that, and have a beer brought out to me after."
"I was kidding! Sheesh!" DB focused on finishing his second waffle rather than pushing her to continue toying with the idea of leaving all chores up to him.
After they finished breakfast and Sheri finally got dressed in more than her robe, they headed out to find a lawnmower. They started at a local mall and its Sears store. Both paused at the store's outer entrance, glancing at each other. They were having the same flashback, to the night they fought both Gojinn and CP-ZERO in a department store. They'd been trapped and almost didn't make it out alive.
"If I see anything even resembling a robot in there, I'm leaving," she said.
"Cyborg." It was more of an automated response for him to correct her on that by that point.
Just as it was more of an automated response for her to ignore him every time he corrected her. "Really, you can stay behind and keep shopping if you want, but I'm never doing that again."
"Even if there's a shoe sale?" he asked as they entered the store.
