Deadblood (Undisputed Mortal Wrestling Champion)
Meteor shit!
Deadblood sped through a couple lights, other cars honking at him. He was determined to confront The Driller. Determined to catch them with their hand in the cookie jar.
Sheri's hands gripped the dashboard, her eyes constantly looking between him and the road ahead of them. "Are you trying to cause a wreck? Shit!"
"Sometimes you just have to take some risks to make gains!" The car was beginning to let out a whine as he pushed it to its limit. Not the sports car he wished he was currently in. Or his motorcycle, which still needed replacing.
Much to the relief of both Sheri and the car, Deadblood slowed down slightly. It was only to take a turn, pushing the pedal back to the floor as soon as he was through it. The road was narrower, but also less busy. She felt mild relief at that fact.
"I think it's right up... !" She gripped the dashboard harder as he skidded into the bank's parking lot, tires squealing. "... Here." From inside the car, all seemed peaceful. No alarm, no rumbling. "I don't think they're here, Champ."
He didn't respond, getting out of the car instead, leaving it running. He went up to the dark windows of the bank, trying to see inside. She climbed out after him, not bothering to approach the windows herself.
"Fuck. Where are they?" He continued trying to see into the bank, for any sign of The Driller performing another robbery. If not the rumbling of the drill, some kind of movement inside the bank. It was as quiet in there as it was in the parking lot.
"Let's go, DB. There's nobody here." Just as she finished her last syllable, there was another, slightly calmer rumbling, and the bank's alarm went off. She ran over to join him at the window then. "Should we try to get inside?"
"I want in." He started to move, around to the other sides of the building, hoping to see more disrupted pavement, a place for Sheri to put her ever-increasingly strong telekinesis to work. Before he had a chance, they heard sirens in the distance, approaching fast. "Fuck, never mind. Let's get out of here! Those cops will arrest us probably if we're here when they get here!"
Closer to the car, she jumped into the driver's seat. "Get in. I'm driving this time."
There was no time to argue. He got into the passenger seat and she sped around the building and out of the other driveway. It was too late however. The first of the police cars were just arriving and it followed after them.
