You've gotta hold your breath there, Harry. You've gotta hold your breath!

As Deadblood was trying the shoes on, Sheri stepped over to observe.

"See, Champ? You're looking better already." She had a couple boxes of shoes under one arm.

He stood up to test his new shoes out. "No criticisms on my choice?"

"You act like I criticize everything you do." She stepped back as he walked back and forth a couple times. "Besides, I feel lucky that I even got you to try those on."

"Anything to keep you happy." He was quick to take the shoes off and put his old pair back on.

Before they could check out, Sheri grabbed one more box, earning her a look of annoyance from Deadblood. With her finally tired of shopping, they headed back through Sears to get to their car.

"I can't wait to see how that patio furniture is going to look in our backyard." She was a couple feet ahead of him in the parking lot, her hands free, both bags of shoes in his hands.

"I can't wait to watch you put that patio furniture together." He paused for a second, hearing several car alarms go off at the same time in the distance. A group of vandals perhaps. Not knowing where they were, there was nothing he could do about it.

"Me? I guess you don't want to join me in sunbathing then." She glanced back at him with a smirk.

They didn't get to bicker or walk any further as the ground began to shake. More car alarms started going off and several people screamed.

"What the hell? Earthquake?!" Sheri grabbed at the back of their car to keep her balance. Less than a minute later, the shaking subsided. "Seriously, what the fuck?"

"I don't think that was any earthquake." Deadblood continued listening. More car alarms were going off, more people were screaming. He quickly popped open the trunk and put the bags of shoes inside. "I think we just met The Driller."

They both got into the car and drove through the parking lot, searching for anymore signs.

"Look there, the ground's all broken up!" He followed her finger and saw where the pavement had broken apart due to recent stress. He turned the car, trying to follow the damage.
