Red laughed before he said, "The Gate of Wickedness might be gone, but you're a bigger fucking fool than I thought if you don't believe my powers have grown as well."
Darkspade actually wasn't sure he should believe it. Red wasn't exactly known for being truthful.
"Look, I realize you're the patriarch of the Death Family and your sole mission is to protect your granddaughter's vagina," Red said, becoming even more amused at the look of anger spreading further across Spade's face. "I'm kidding! I get it! I get why you don't want me near her! But she loves me and I love her. Are you really going to deny your granddaughter the love she desires?"
"Yes, I am," Spade said, crossing his arms. "You have no say at all when it comes to my family, Red. And when it comes to YOU, Angel doesn't have any say either. Now I'm not warning you again. Leave and never fucking return!" Red dropped to his knees in front of Spade, completely catching him by surprise. "What the fuck are you doing?!"
"Is Angel watching us even more eagerly than before?" Red asked, refusing to look for himself.
Spade glanced up and the look on his face told Red she was. The look that meant Spade realized what Red was trying to do: making Angel believe Red was begging her grandfather. Begging for forgiveness, for permission to see her, and she probably imagined many other things Spade might hold against Red.
"Good," Red said, grabbing Spade's legs. "I'm going to stay like this for a bit. Let's see if she defies your orders and comes out here for me."
"Fuck you, Red, and stand the fuck up!" Spade said.
"Does this mean I can visit her?" Red asked, smiling.
